Junior Mullet Posted 30 December, 2008 Share Posted 30 December, 2008 It was 4 2 3 1. Exactly the same way we have been playing all season. Only difference was McGoldrick played in the hole instead of uptop. Probably suits his drop off game alot more and he has the ability to link up with the striker more than say Surman or Lallana. As has been pointed out earlier on in this thread, it is a stupid pointless argument as it has been all season. You are a deluled retarded mug if you think otherwise. It was indeed 4-2-3-1. If you're in any doubt just watch how they line themselves up at goalkicks. The 3 attacking midfielders were noticably not as stretched as they were early in the season when we played a more common form of 4-5-1. Hence Holmes etc were given much more freedom to roam rather than being asked to simply hug the touchline.
