SarniaSaint Posted 24 March, 2015 Posted 24 March, 2015 I don't have a problem with Kelvin standing in, but I am very worried in case HE gets injured! That would be interesting!!!!!!!! imagine the melt down on here.............

Pretty sure we would have been in for a no 2 keeper anyway but with early Europa action likely I would imagine its a dead cert now. Edited 25 March, 2015 by Saint Charlie
Genk Posted 25 March, 2015 Posted 25 March, 2015 My mate works with the wife of Forster's neighbour, and he had surgery yesterday and is expected to be out for a year. Huge blow.
Bobbyboy Posted 25 March, 2015 Posted 25 March, 2015 My mate works with the wife of Forster's neighbour, and he had surgery yesterday and is expected to be out for a year. Huge blow. So he still may be back before J-Rod
Genk Posted 25 March, 2015 Posted 25 March, 2015 My mate works with the wife of Forster's neighbour, and he had surgery yesterday and is expected to be out for a year. Huge blow. Correction, today.
CB Saint Posted 25 March, 2015 Posted 25 March, 2015 My mate works with the wife of Forster's neighbour, and he had surgery yesterday and is expected to be out for a year. Huge blow. Isn't the wife of forster's neighbour forster's neighbour as well?
Batman Posted 25 March, 2015 Posted 25 March, 2015 (edited) Well, if we are looking at a year. Need a decent no.1 Imagine if Davis gets injured or sent off in the remaining games LOL Edited 25 March, 2015 by Batman
nta786 Posted 25 March, 2015 Posted 25 March, 2015 Isn't the wife of forster's neighbour forster's neighbour as well? Ahaha lol thats what I was thinking!!!
Window Cleaner Posted 25 March, 2015 Posted 25 March, 2015 Isn't the wife of forster's neighbour forster's neighbour as well? Could be separated I suppose.
Smirking_Saint Posted 25 March, 2015 Posted 25 March, 2015 Could be separated I suppose. I doubt Forster lives in a terrace
shirleysfc Posted 25 March, 2015 Posted 25 March, 2015 Well, if we are looking at a year. Need a decent no.1 Imagine if Davis gets injured or sent off in the remaining games LOL Yeah, it would be hilarious lololol..!
Wade Garrett Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 BBC gossip page says the Sun are reporting we are trying to sign Cech on loan this season. Can't read the article online without a subscription, anyone shed any light on it?
Stu Man Do Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 BBC gossip page says the Sun are reporting we are trying to sign Cech on loan this season. Can't read the article online without a subscription, anyone shed any light on it? Surely more likely to mean as of next season? Pretty sure we can't loan a GK this year as we have 3 here already. If it's talking about next season even less chance really as I'm sure I've read Arsenal want him on a perms am deal this summer.
Wrensup Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 Adam Federici anyone? http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/southampton-eye-up-readings-adam-5461240
Badger Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 Adam Federici anyone? http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/southampton-eye-up-readings-adam-5461240 Wouldn't be a bad option.
Ulrich van Gobbel Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 I'd take Kasper if Leicester go down! Agreed. Or even Panti-what's-his-name-million from Sunderland if they go down.
Roboze Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/568580/Chelsea-Petr-Cech-Southampton-Emergency-Loan what you think peeps?
S-Clarke Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 Surely a no-go? Given that we have Davis, Paulo and Cropper, I cannot see how the PL will even allow it. Also given the fact that Chelsea, given how tight it is at the top, would be a little silly to weaken their squad in any way right now.
Window Cleaner Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/568580/Chelsea-Petr-Cech-Southampton-Emergency-Loan what you think peeps? Unlikely if not impossible.
saint lard Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 Emergency loan has gone into the Premier League for a one month loan of Cech. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

S-Clarke Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 Emergency loan has gone into the Premier League for a one month loan of Cech. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I just cannot see how it would be allowed, or how Chelsea would even agree to it. Seems too big a gamble for something that won't really make a huge difference to us in the grand scheme of things. If we're lining it up for next season, I can totally understand - but still I'd say it would be incredibly unlikely.

In fact the PL might even require us to explain why we waste their money on paying 3 unusable keepers:blush: Newcastle had keeper crisis earlier on in the season and they used their 3rd or 4th choice keeper, no doubt we'll be told to do the same.
eurosaint Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 Great that they are even thinking about it, shows ambition and sends out the right message (except to Kelvin that is !)
Colinjb Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 Would be an excellent addition, but this seems a bit fanciful to me.

hasper57saint Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 Not possible. How will Saints establish that the situation merits 'emergency' action?

CityRanger Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 Didn't we get Kasey Keller in with a controversial emergency loan once?
Matthew Le God Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 Didn't we get Kasey Keller in with a controversial emergency loan once? Our 1st (Niemi) and 2nd (Smith) choice keepers were injured at the time and we were using 3rd choice Blayney until Keller arrived... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/4006615.stm
pingwing Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 I would have accepted a £200 season ticket increase to have Cech...
Pastor Patrón Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 Fuk yeah, shame Forster didn't get injured sooner
St.Jeweller Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 wouldn't even be thinking about this had someone stayed on the far post on Saturday
Badger Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 Unless there has been a major rift at Stanford Bridge hy would Mourinho consider loaning him out ?
VectisSaint Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 This appears to be codswallop written by football people. To be honest Kelvin is not really the problem. He is a great shot stopper, but fortunately his weaknesses are not being exposed too much by our superb defensive 6. I goal conceded in 2 games. Just such a shame about those up front.
St Chalet Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 (edited) I must confess I was thinking that a season long loan would suit all parties for next season. Cech gets game time he is craving, Chelsea wouldn't want him going to a rival and we need a genuine #1 for a season. Would be superb if we could get him for the remainder of this season. Edited 5 April, 2015 by St Chalet
Roboze Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 exactly! i think we have become an exciting prospect for young players wanting to make a name, and old timers looking for a last addition to their legacy, realise rules might prevent this now......but.......these are good times COYS!!
Roboze Posted 5 April, 2015 Posted 5 April, 2015 even neutral fans are now getting behind us! we were dead and buried at the start of the season in most peoples eyes, ok our lack of depth is probably now showing, but why wouldn't good players want to come here? we have given the biggest FU to the premier league i have ever seen! only the dons winning the fa cup is on par!
