Leicestersaint Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 I fancy Seager to bag a couple although we'll miss Rowe.
stevegrant Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 Who is the commentator? Not exactly a smooth commentating voice... Oh, and GOAL
SuperSAINT Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 Who is the commentator? Not exactly a smooth commentating voice... Oh, and GOAL Isn't it Tom Coull?
stevegrant Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 I thought Sinclair was at Hibs? Only until New Years Day
Pancake Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 Impressed with Sims again, but needs to work on the final ball. McQueen looks like he could be very good.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 I fancy Seager to bag a couple although we'll miss Rowe.Is Rowe injured
Leicestersaint Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 1-0 at half time - Seager. A few more shots on target in the second half hopefully.
Leicestersaint Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 Is Rowe injured Yes - that is my understanding but I think he is due back fairly soon.
krissyboy31 Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 Turned on just in time for the goal. Sims and Seager looking lively.
stevegrant Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 McQueen's looked very good here, just looks so much stronger and more composed than the rest.
Leicestersaint Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 We should have scored more than one given possession and chances.
trousers Posted 15 January, 2015 Author Posted 15 January, 2015 Gooooooaaaaalllllll!!!!! Great initial shot from Seager
Leicestersaint Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 Yes! Glorious work by Seager off the post and in from McQueen.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 GOAL: Saints 2-0 Norwich - Sam McQueen 82'
stevegrant Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 How has the ref given that as a free kick that far outside the box?!
trousers Posted 15 January, 2015 Author Posted 15 January, 2015 Ref gives the foul where Sims landed not where the foul was committed (i.e. in the box)
trousers Posted 15 January, 2015 Author Posted 15 January, 2015 Seager misses a sitter!!!! (Great build up play from Sims and Flanagan)
Bucks Saint Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 Seager misses a sitter!!!! (Great build up play from Sims and Flanagan) A rarity indeed. Took a bobble i think
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 Sims looks promising but needs to work on his composure
Pancake Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 Rather enjoyed that. Good group of lads there, some look well on the way too.
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 Enjoy watching the professionalism of the youngsters in our Academy - we seem to 'manage' games really well overall have a maturity to our performances which often eclipses that of our opponents. I think it's those sort of things which allows the club to blood them in the first team so easily as they have that level of refinement to the way they approach the game.

del boy Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 Just back from the game - Sam McQueen the stand out player for me, looked a level above the rest on both teams. Our boys were all very technically good and well organised but looked a bit lightweight compared to the opposition. Good game, could easily have been 3 or 4 goals for us.
ExSt Peter Saint Posted 15 January, 2015 Posted 15 January, 2015 I watched the second half on youtube and was really impressed with a few of them. As mentioned above, Sims looks very promising and the composure will come with age and experience, I'd say. Seager has to get a few first team opportunities this season, surely. I think he has the potential to be a top player. Flanagan looked like a very accomplished right back and if he had to cover for Clyne, I wouldn't be too worried, although I think McCarthy is more likely to get the nod first. Every time I've seen McQueen play he looks a real talent. I don't understand why Isgrove has been picked ahead of him really. Gape also looks capable of stepping up if we're short of defensive midfielders without Morgan and big Vic, I'd say.

trousers Posted 16 January, 2015 Author Posted 16 January, 2015 Second goal: http://fat.gfycat.com/SlowVigorousAmericanrobin.webm Get those two chaps on the first flight to Newcastle please Mr Koeman
verlaine1979 Posted 16 January, 2015 Posted 16 January, 2015 Was it McQueen who played the ball out to Sinclair with the outside of his boot prior to the first goal? Great pass, whoever it was.

I think the average age of their team was a couple of years more than the average age of ours.
Faz Posted 16 January, 2015 Posted 16 January, 2015 I think the average age of their team was a couple of years more than the average age of ours. And then we brought on a 15yo
