I would say it quite possibly can, and probably needs to happen by the end of the Burnley game. So 17 points from the next 9 games, leaving 8 more in which 14/15 might be enough. I would say we have a reasonably favourable set of fixtures left compared to our rivals.

Draws at Newcastle, home to West Ham and away at QPR and wins against Palace, Burnley, West Brom and Swansea would give us 15 points. That leaves 2 games against Chelsea and Liverpool which we are capable of getting points from. So there's little margin for error, we might get away with losing 2. With our defence though, we are capable of picking up points in every game, and that is key.

No. 6th place is definitely out because both Liverpool and Spurs won on the same weekend a few weeks ago.

I'm expecting us to win all the home matches against the bottom half, 75% of the aways against the bottom half, and 50% of the games against the top half. That would be...

 

...about 34 more points on top of our 39 so far. 73 points then.
