RedWillie Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Just what we could do with out . stretching our squad big time
Bad Wolf Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 I'd be tempted to rest Wanyama. He's been our best player for quite some time now and if anything happened to him it'd have a hugely negative bearing on our season IMO, we'd miss him so much. Especially given the CB situation and that he could probably cover there if we got desperate. I hate to say I told you so but I ****ing told you so!
Katalinic Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 I think we will definitely enter the transfer market now - Toby, Morgan and Victor out for 3-4 weeks is a huge blow potentially.
beatlesaint Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 I think the fact Saturday week is Cup week will be a blessing. Ok Vic and Toby may not be back for Swansea but Morgan should be with those two not too far behind hopefully.
BlakeySFC Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 And that, ladies and gentlemen is why wouldn't play our first team in Cup games.
Saint Charlie Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Do we seem to get more muscle injuries of late than we used to?
CB Saint Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Do we seem to get more muscle injuries of late than we used to? Was thinking the same
Ewell Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 This may be controversial but he just didn't look right tonight. I think he looked off the pace and was second best to most balls, other than the time he got through three players and was clearly fouled but the ref played advantage. I have to wonder was he carrying a slight injury or is this simply a case of over use and fatigue. Whatever the circumstances this is without doubt a huge blow.

I thought that too, didn't look quite right perhaps from the start!?
doddisalegend Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 So we go with Cork, Reed and either JWP or Davis in midfield for the next couple of weeks maybe not the best but hardly a disaster either. I swear people think we are going to go all season with no injuries. These are the times when RK earns his money people.
Saint Charlie Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Was also our best CB option in an emergency too.
Dan Johnson Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Possibly all of Schnderlin, Alderwielder & Wanyama may only miss 1 premiership game in Newcastle this weekend. May not have too much impact on our quest for Europe
maxi_sopez Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 could be out for the season if he has torn it..
LGTL Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 After Newcastle we don't play until February. Relax.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Do we seem to get more muscle injuries of late than we used to? Too many games in too shorter time.
St Chalet Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 It'll be somewhere between 3 weeks and career ending, the club are generally quite quick to clarify these days so I am sure we'll know soon.
OttawaSaint Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 He was still sat on the bench, so possibly just a tweak?
Greenridge Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 It'll be somewhere between 3 weeks and career ending, the club are generally quite quick to clarify these days so I am sure we'll know soon. Many premiership players had their career finished through a hamstring?
Saint_Tony Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 We just have to deal with it, we've got options. Everyone feared the worst against Everton and that ended ok. I think a point on Saturday will be a good result, then it will be up to RoKo to decide whether to go all out for victory against Palace.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Relax its just a bit of cramp Tis but a scratch...
VectisSaint Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 After Newcastle we don't play until February. Relax. Have Palace been given a bye?
um pahars Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Always want us to win every match we play, but have to say in hindsight I might have swapped a defeat for his injury (if it is a 6 weeker). **As long as I am allowed to change my mind having slept on it and Ward Prowse, Davis, Reed & Cork perform superbly on Saturday and it's only a two week tweak!
Saint Charlie Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Have Palace been given a bye? Think that game will be low on the priority list. Similar lineup as tonight.
mcjwills Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Bigger Vic? Well it would be a brave man who wants to B*gger Vic
Goatboy Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 So we go with Cork, Reed and either JWP or Davis in midfield for the next couple of weeks maybe not the best but hardly a disaster either. Bucks Saint Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 And that, ladies and gentlemen is why wouldn't play our first team in Cup games. Players can get injured in training, which is why you dont pick the team

I'm not sure I'd like to sleep on your Ming. lol super editing speed Ums:p
Bearsy Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 could be out for the season if he has torn it.. could need amputation if he has gangrene
Leicestersaint Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 I thought he was pretty poor all the first half - and then he pulled up with a hamstring. Bad news.
Saint Charlie Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Koeman says out 4-5 weeks and that he was due to come off at HT anyway. FFS
S-Clarke Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 There were simply just seconds between him getting injured and the HT whistle being blown. Now that's just plain old unlucky crap.
Wiggles31 Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Koeman says out 4-5 weeks and that he was due to come off at HT anyway. FFS Sod it. Did he elaborate on what type of injury it was? Was a bit strange seeing him on the bench during the second half. Didn't think it was that bad.
John B Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Perhaps he had a dodgy hamstring which was going to be a problem anyway but it is unlucky I thought Harrison played well but losing Victor Toby and Morgan is not going to hrlp us to the CL
S-Clarke Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Sod it. Did he elaborate on what type of injury it was? Was a bit strange seeing him on the bench during the second half. Didn't think it was that bad. Sure it was a hammy, done it myself before and you just know. You get a 'ping' and you feel like your leg is being stabbed in the back. To me it looked like a nailed on strain/tear of the hammy.

um pahars Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 I'm not sure I'd like to sleep on your Ming. lol super editing speed Ums:p I'm Ming the Merciless (no one else has a clue what's going on),
suewhistle Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 I've never had a hamstring, but a couple of gluteus go, and 'ping' is quite a good way of describing it. Both times I let out unladylike imprecations... Buit there are different levels of seriousness though, so fingers crossed.
trousers Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Koeman says out 4-5 weeks and that he was due to come off at HT anyway. FFS Koeman possibly overestimated the length of time Mane is out for so fingers crossed he's being over cautious here too.
scotty Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 Shane Long commented on the state of the pitch in his post match interview. Got to say it looked pretty grim on tv, and I did wonder about big Vic pulling up like he did. Bad news either way.
Rasiak-9- Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 ****ing knew we should have played the kids and gone out of this sodding waste of time. Every FA cup game from now until the end of the season is our least important match of the season as long as we have a chance of the CL
nta786 Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 ****ing knew we should have played the kids and gone out of this sodding waste of time. Every FA cup game from now until the end of the season is our least important match of the season as long as we have a chance of the CL slight over reaction. thankfully, our next few games are slightly easier than man u/arsenal and chelsea. we can still deffo achieve both. plus, when i see it and hear it is when i'll start believing everything.
eelpie Posted 14 January, 2015 Posted 14 January, 2015 I think we will definitely enter the transfer market now - Toby, Morgan and Victor out for 3-4 weeks is a huge blow potentially. plus Mane and Maya. Not good
