As he pointed out in his interview after the Fulham game, his cameo appearance was only his fourth training session. Fit isn't match fit.

Depends if Newcastle are as poor as they were last time, wouldn't be much more of a challenge than Fulham U21s!

In all seriousness, if he's on the bench then he should be match fit. No point having him in the squad otherwise.

But we do have a fit Cork. Still not all that bad.

Would be surprised if he's fully match fit. Only just resumed training and not played a competitive game in six weeks.

Thankfully our manager has more boll ocks than you

I'd pretty much agree with that to be honest. If Fonte picks up a knock we've really got issues on Saturday.

Koeman needs to go for Van Dyke from Celtic before Sunderland go for him. At least we have a transfer window to find one or two replacements.

Played in the U21's I believe. I have confidence in JWP, Davis, Reed, and a half fit Cork.

We only had 2 CBs before the game. What's changed?

Just got in. Wanyama injured plus apparently Ipswich have had the best of this game? Love this FA cup, watch us lose our next 3 league games now!

What is it with the overreactions?

Toby and Morgs are out for 3 weeks - so they'll miss Newcastle and Swansea and most likey be back for QPR on 7th Feb. Big Vic looked like a pulled hamstring so that would be 3-4 weeks as well - could be more or less - so he too could be back for QPR.

We managed ok without Morgs/VW vs Everton with a midfield of Davis/Reed/JWP - Newcastle away will be a tougher test but missing those players isn't an automatic loss.

No, it isn't an automatic loss, but it will be a pain if we pick up another niggle in midfield, or need to switch things about. The starting XI start games for a reason - they are first choice and to be without them robs you of not only them but options too.

Who got away from the system? A player at Ipswich? I will live.

BBC commentators saying we got rid of Mings because he was too small. When in fact saints are on record as saying they don't discard young talent based on their physical size.

This they tell their target audience of what must be neutrals/not usual footy watchers and tarnish our name to the masses!

Can't get over how rubbish a game of football this is.

The wind and the pitch are major contributors to that, I reckon. Bouncy bouncy!

Who a premier league team offered 3 million for in the summer the lad clearly has ability but inevitably some will slip through the net it's happened in the past and will happen again every youngster is a gamble and sometimes you back the wrong horse.
