Um Bongo Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 (edited) Unbeaten for 45 minutes. COYR. Edited 28 December, 2008 by Um Bongo
Channon's Sideburns Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 They Drink it in the Congo Passion Fruit and Mandarin... Sorry - brought back happy memories, not when it was lukewarm from a lunchbox though.. Reading to score within 10mins of restart.....
Saint Jimbo Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 it's not looking good with charlton, notts forest and doncaster all winning, we are second from bottom at present!! nothing less than a win will suffice
Dalek2003 Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Anyone believe that we might win this game ?
Um Bongo Posted 28 December, 2008 Author Posted 28 December, 2008 Anyone believe that we might win this game ? I know we will win this game.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 I know we will win this game. Any tips for the 1st scorer then???!! I reckon Rupert with a diving header.
Sussex Saint Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Anyone believe that we might win this game ? Too much Christmas brandy Dalek?
Dalek2003 Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 I know we will win this game. You must have the hand of Omega
Um Bongo Posted 28 December, 2008 Author Posted 28 December, 2008 Any tips for the 1st scorer then???!! I reckon Rupert with a diving header. BWP when he comes on in the 57th minute.
Thedelldays Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 knowing that we have all written out lot off..we will win then all the fake/false optimism will start all over again...:smt044
1976_Child Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 it's not looking good with charlton, notts forest and doncaster all winning, we are second from bottom at present!! nothing less than a win will suffice Correct. There was I just factoring a lose today. Just force of habit really. COYR!! Draw today and we ain't bottom!! HoooooooooooRRRRRAYAAYAYAY!! We ain't bottom of the table! We ain't bottom of the table!! Nah Nah Na Nah Nah! We ain't bottom of the table!! And its all Southampton.... All Southampton FC....
Channon's Sideburns Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 BWP when he comes on in the 57th minute. Damn, I was hoping for a Kevin Keegan overhead kick. NOTE TO SELF - MUST STOP LIVING IN THE PAST WHEN WE HAD A CLUB TO BE PROUD OF.
Dalek2003 Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Damn, I was hoping for a Kevin Keegan overhead kick. NOTE TO SELF - MUST STOP LIVING IN THE PAST WHEN WE HAD A CLUB TO BE PROUD OF. I am living in the past. Keep having nightmares that we lose Gordon Starachan as our manager and replace him with an untried League 1 nobody that resembles Wurzell Gummidge. Trouble is the nightmare is endless and gets worse and worse.
chi saint Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 This is it, one way or another this game with the current scores for Charlton and Co, has the potential to be a season decider. We win we can build on it, we lose, fall into the bottom three and prepare to struggle for the remainder of the season.
Saint Jimbo Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 I think that if we were to win today, it could provide the foundation for our season to kick off, as we would of not only once again beaten a top side, it will prove to the players that they can win at home. The dismal home trend will end for sure! and points will be gained. COYR!!!!
Dalek2003 Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Sorry to be so despondent, but if we drop into bottom 3 , I think that is it for the season.
Um Bongo Posted 28 December, 2008 Author Posted 28 December, 2008 BWP on for Smith Yeay!!!! What??!! 57th minute i said. Now Jan has ruined it. Cheers Jan. I hope you get sacked, and you;ve just cost us the win!
Evil Monkey Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 i think that if we were to win today, it could provide the foundation for our season to kick off lol.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Sorry to be so despondent, but if we drop into bottom 3 , I think that is it for the season. Ah Dalek, you call it despondent, I call it realistic. Don't you wish that you could exterminate the board?
badgerx16 Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Apparently Ricardo Fuller got sent off for Stoke this afternoon for hitting his own captain
saint lard Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 I think that if we were to win today, it could provide the foundation for our season to kick off, as we would of not only once again beaten a top side, it will prove to the players that they can win at home. The dismal home trend will end for sure! and points will be gained. COYR!!!! Way too many false dawns this season already,we cant keep hoping that the next victory will kick start our season, time is running out. Hope you are right though,but.......
Dalek2003 Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Ah Dalek, you call it despondent, I call it realistic. Don't you wish that you could exterminate the board? Perhaps Davros could be our new manager and then we could put a bit of metal in defence !
badgerx16 Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 I think that if we were to win today, it could provide the foundation for our season to kick off, With the next three league games being Barnsley, Doncaster, and Norwich we could be well adrift very quickly if we don't pull our collective fingers out
LVSaint Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Way too many false dawns this season already,we cant keep hoping that the next victory will kick start our season, time is running out. Hope you are right though,but....... True, I won't get much reassurance from a win today. It will merely keep us from going into the new year 'not bottom'.
Dalek2003 Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 With the next three league games being Barnsley, Doncaster, and Norwich we could be well adrift very quickly if we don't pull our collective fingers out ....and if we win all three ??? but of course it won't happen.
1976_Child Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 I think that if we were to win today, it could provide the foundation for our season to kick off, as we would of not only once again beaten a top side, it will prove to the players that they can win at home. The dismal home trend will end for sure! and points will be gained. COYR!!!! here's hoping but honestly, you need to lay off the wacky-backy!!
Thedelldays Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 ....and if we win all three ??? but of course it won't happen. ideal time for billy davies IMO to come in..
Channon's Sideburns Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 lol. Perhaps Davros could be our new manager and then we could put a bit of metal in defence ! Think Bobby Davro would be better at present.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Sounds like Lee Holmes is coming off again?
Um Bongo Posted 28 December, 2008 Author Posted 28 December, 2008 'Excellent' according to John Salarko. Come on Saints. McLaggon (sp) is now on. Bradley Wright-Phillips is robbed by Rosenior Good old OS.
bridge too far Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 John Solako (sp?) says we're the better team
Thedelldays Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 'Excellent' according to John Salarko. Come on Saints. McKlaggon (sp) is now on. who..?
saintjay77 Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 SSN says it looks like saints are the ones going for the win. Sets us up to lose it in the 93rd min then huh
saint lard Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 True, I won't get much reassurance from a win today. It will merely keep us from going into the new year 'not bottom'. It will be merely papering over the cracks, keep Jan as the gaffer, and no doubt be hailed as something it isn't by the OS,Jan and the players. Good result it would be f'sure, but the spin from the club would be over the top, to say the least.
Dalek2003 Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 The worst thing is not the prospedct of League 1 football, but the uncertainty of it all.
Window Cleaner Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 does anyone know today's attendence? 20142
Dalek2003 Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 20,142... a very good gate. Presumably there are many Royals in the ground.
Evil Monkey Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Corner to Saints More chance of us scoring from a Reading corner.
Big Ron fan Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 does anyone know today's attendence? 21,044, as I predicted on another thread
1976_Child Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Corner to Saints well we know that we will waste it. When was the last time we scored off a corner? 1984 in my reckoning...
saint lard Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Patterson with a decent shot, saved well. All Saints, it sounds like.
Window Cleaner Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 20,142... a very good gate. Presumably there are many Royals in the ground. Probably 4000 or so;even though they only got 3200 tickets.
1976_Child Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 SSN says it looks like saints are the ones going for the win. Sets us up to lose it in the 93rd min then huh you just had to go and say it didn't you? All the rest of us were avoiding the issue!!
