Pedestrian Bridge to Northam Road

Not so worried about the footbridge, but why not close the Northam Road to traffic for 15 minutes after the final whistle like it was a few years ago.

Also why can't the Police / HCC Highways sort out the lights at the Avenue / Burgess Road junction to allow traffic in and out of the city quicker.?

Traffic lights in Southampton are madness after a game, especially an evening game when most other routes are quieter than the one the matchday traffic is using. All the lights from the long roundabout on the avenue (I'm not a native so I don't know if it has a name) (the lights are near the Dock O The Bay fish place) up to Burgess Road junction are red for far too long. Re-phase them for match days and you'll clear the traffic so much quicker. IMO of course.

Very much doubt the gas holders will be decommissioned. Although their use as storage containers for gas is not as important as it used to be they still provide a means of balancing the pressure for the city gas supply for safety purposes. I suggest the answer to this problem is that we dig a tunnel, it would be appropriate from the great escape days.

haha yeah my mate got that job. I'll tel him to get his finger out.

Being serious, this forum is quite a good way of liaising with supporters, although there is a problem with those that never going to games having undue influence. But really, there is no liaising at the moment.

It 100% did clog up when we were in the premiership before hand. It was something I got frustrated with, but then forgot about it when we had lower attendances. Luckily I now park in a different location avoiding it all together, but agree it's quite bad

Protected? Jesus christ. I'm all for protecting buildings, but these are ridiculous steal frames that take up loads of room and offer no 'value'. In a time when we need to clear brownfield sites to build more and more housing, we shouldn't be protecting this guff.

Knock it all down, do something useful with the space ... and I don't mean another bloody 300 screen cinema.

back to Ringwood!

I thought you meant the Mayflower. ;)

I once picked up a mate in the car park at Ringwood at 7.20pm for a 7.45pm kick off, parked up in Grosvenor Sq, and we were in our seats at 7.53pm. League 1 days with less people about.
