Mr X Posted 28 December, 2008 Author Posted 28 December, 2008 Apparently a bigish crowd. According to the OS. Strange why would they be expecting a big crowd? have Reading brought there home support with them as well?
CLOTH EARS Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 The radio said 3.500 reading fans so we should break the 15.000 barrier.
Mr X Posted 28 December, 2008 Author Posted 28 December, 2008 Just over 20k Solent have just said. A glutton for punishment?
SoccerMom Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Not really - it was a fantastic atmosphere. Best singing I've heard for weeks.
lordswoodsaints Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 it was boosted by a load of russian lads, well done to them.
70's Mike Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Just over 20k Solent have just said. surprised it was that number looked about 17k to me
S4INT Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Best atmosphere since Sheff Utd. The only way we're going to get a hint of anything out of the Manure game is if the crowd are in such fine form on the 4th January (and the players play like they did today as opposed to their Nottingham Forest performance) I'd love to hear the crowd shouting "WHO!?" as Ronaldo is brought on as a sub
saintwarwick Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 surprised it was that number looked about 17k to me I counted three times and came up with the same figure, 20k.
saintwarwick Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Not really - it was a fantastic atmosphere. Best singing I've heard for weeks. And a good game as well.
70's Mike Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 I counted three times and came up with the same figure, 20k. did not count but no of three season ticket holders, in my family, who were not there. Front of Northam and back of Chapel were empty
saintwarwick Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 did not count but no of three season ticket holders' date=' in my family, who were not there[/b']. Front of Northam and back of Chapel were empty And I didn't count them Kingsland was a lot fuller than normal as was the Chapel.
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Season Ticket holders are counted in the crowd whether they turn up or not.
S4INT Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 Season Ticket holders are counted in the crowd whether they turn up or not. O RLY? I always thought that it was how many times the turstiles rotated or something... otherwise wouldn't they know the attendance before the match? And does that mean we have a minimum attendance?
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 28 December, 2008 Posted 28 December, 2008 In reality, the number of times the turnstiles rotate is irrelevant. The true figure for the club's purposes is how many tickets have been sold. It doesn't matter to them if no-one turns up, just that they have the money.
