Mattio Posted 2 January, 2015 Posted 2 January, 2015 Hey everyone, I'm hoping to go to Newcastle away on the 17th and wondered if anyone could advise of the best way to travel at such late notice? I've noticed the official coach is £20 which seems like a bargain but whenever I've used them they seem to resent making stops on the way - which for a 6/7 hour journey would literally be a killer. Can anyone make any other recommendations?
stevegrant Posted 2 January, 2015 Posted 2 January, 2015 They would have to stop at least once on each leg of the journey for a trip of that duration, by law coach drivers can only drive for a maximum of 4 hours at a time.
Whitey Grandad Posted 2 January, 2015 Posted 2 January, 2015 (edited) The trips I've been on have always had a stop on the way, but that was a few years ago. Normally there are two drivers. Edited 2 January, 2015 by Whitey Grandad
100%Red&White Posted 2 January, 2015 Posted 2 January, 2015 While we were stopped at Warwick Services on the way up to Sheffield Utd the Travel Coaches pulled in there, so you'll get at least one stop.
The Cat Posted 2 January, 2015 Posted 2 January, 2015 They always stop for Northern games. In fact the official coaches stop for longer than unofficial ones whose aim seems to be in getting fans to the ground in time for a few beers.
Mattio Posted 3 January, 2015 Author Posted 3 January, 2015 Cheers for the advice, any ideas what sort of time it would arrive for a Northern game? It would be nice to get there with a bit of time before, I think Bolton is as far as I've been on the bus but that was on a Tuesday night so may be different.
ianthesaint Posted 3 January, 2015 Posted 3 January, 2015 I have 1 spare adult ticket for Newcastle £25.
