He plays as the main DM when Morgan doesnt play. I wouldnt say that he plays any better though. He has been exceptional this year.

Him, morgan and Matic are easily the three best DMs in the prem

Might just be me then but I thought the added responsibility gives him a little boost , that little stepover and flick that left an Arsenal player on his arse was sublime !

He has certainly improved this season. Sissoko at Newcastle is also up there with the best.

I thought he was superb today, great ball for Davis to setup the second goal too.

On Match of the Day, they said it was a hopeful punt up pitch ! It looked a perfectly weighted pass to me.

Taken from the arsenal forum...........

Shambolic stuff. Wrong team picked out fought in the pitch by a team that wanted it more. Wenger take your cost with you and leave already the team needs new ideas fresh impetus etc.

Ps Wanyama once again brilliant he is the man we need in the holding role.

Lad, stop pushing this Wanyama thing. He's a nothing player suited to small clubs

Can we put to bed the Cork is better/we're better with Cork & Morgan crap now?

Don't get me wrong, I love Corky, but Big Vic is the far superior player.

I'd argue Wanyama/Reed looks just as good and will be our midfield next season!

Early days yet. I missed the Everton game, so yday was my first real viewing of Reed. I thought he was a little quiet, but did a decent enough job. Would be unfair for me to make any judgements on the lad yet.

Though, hopefully he will come through, as I do think Morgan will be off in the summer, and replacing him will be one heck of a job. That said, we didn't really miss him yday - which is encouraging.

Just browsing an Arsenal forum. Found this pre-match comment from one of them:

I think without Schneiderlinn they're vulnerable, Wanyama is nothing without him

Everton he was everywhere snapping at everyone's heels, personally I think the big beast of a man , small terrier of a man combo will be good ! Just imo of course

Another Big Vic quote from an Arsenal fan, this just after he'd "mown down Sanchez" and "should of been off for the assassin's challenge"

Wanyama needs to pick up boxing, that clown's not a ******* footballer

Wanyama is a donkey

Hope someone breaks Wanyama's legs soon

Is Wanyama even a footballer, looks like a stockier version of that **** Tiote.

Shame he gave the ball away straight after!

He played a decent enough looking through ball I think, which was cut out.

If it hadn't been cut out it would have created a good scoring opportunity. Not as bad as being caught in possession.

The trouble is, he's just what Arsenal need and haven't got, if he had been playing for them Wenger will think the score would have been reversed. I hope he hasn't sold himself. Glad to see Walcott Oxo and Chambers put in their place by the team they left to better themselves, next year it could be Big Vic as well

These 3 are all good players, it's just that they're playing in a shît team.

I haven't yet seen him get muscled off the ball once he has it under control. He's like a brick ****house and other people just can't get the ball off of him. He's keeping things simple and usually passes relatively short. He's cut out the pass that was too short and got intercepted, especially the cross field one just in front of the defence, and therefore makes a lot fewer mistakes which we as a team don't get punished for. I wonder whether he has been told that his job is to be the brick ****house and to pass it to someone else who can do the through ball stuff.

Pathetic supporter though? ;)

I used to cheer much louder for all sorts of millinery, often composing new chants for the masses. Since seating in stadiums became compulsory and I have dragged myself up and out of the mines, I have become much less demonstrative.
