Poor Buggers. Hope they didn't suffer at all. Search called off for the night.

 

On a side note, one of the radio stations in Perth, the news lady reported ..and I kid you not. 'the good news is that there were no Australians on board'. Shocking.

The circumstances sounds similar to those of AF447, although saying there is a link between the causes would be pure speculation.

 

Which was similar to the xl airways flight from Perpignan in 2008 where key instruments froze in bad weather. You would think pilots all know about that now though?

I've taken the kop out on this one. I saw the picture of a family distressed on the front page of the BBC website and decided not to click the link, to avoid reading the awful news inside.
