studentsaint Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Just been shown an instagram video from Nathaniel Clyne on the physio table claiming he's broken his foot. He literally has a hole with visible bone on the front of his ankle above the metatarsals. Last place we wanted an injury and looks a nasty one. Quick move in January?
Saint_clark Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 If it were that bad he'd have been taken straight to hospital, not put on the physio table. Sceptical.
DuncanRG Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Link? Fonte's posted this photo but it only looks like a stud cut, certainly no bone visible:

If I had bone sticking out the top of my foot, I doubt I'd be sat there posting on Instagram.
Wrensup Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 What are you on about his not posed anything, just Jose with that photo.
Saint_clark Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Nowhere on the description of that photo on instagram does it mention anything being broken.
Saint Charlie Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Clearly not bone but nasty looking and worrying for Sunday. Did think once we were 3 up we should have made the third sub sooner. Not likely to ever get a better chance (and need) to give someone a breather.

Whatever it is you study I fervently hope it's not medically related.
sotonist Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 That's not bone ffs Of course not. it's the paper towel on the other side.

Not likely to ever get a better chance (and need) to give someone a breather. Here comes me miserable again. You really are a muppet.
Alain Perrin Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 I'm more worried that his toes have been amputated - clean though. Should be able to sew back on - but likely out for 6 weeks or so.
Saint_clark Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 That's also clearly on his knee, way above the ankle, metatarsals and foot mentioned in the opening post.
beatlesaint Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 (edited) Bloody hell, the panto dame is missing a studentsaint Edited 26 December, 2014 by beatlesaint
Saint Charlie Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Here comes me miserable again. You really are a muppet. LOL. You still havent apologised for abusing me when I said Jay Rod wouldnt be back til Feb. Not being miserable, just saying Clyne a doubt for Sunday with a nasty kick. Do you disagree with that?
Saint_clark Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 I'm gonna stick my neck out and say he isn't even injured, this is just your every day bumps, cuts and bruises and was taken off as a precaution.
Roger Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 LOL. You still havent apologised for abusing me when I said Jay Rod wouldnt be back til Feb. Not being miserable, just saying Clyne a doubt for Sunday with a nasty kick. Do you disagree with that? I think will be fine. A blind squirrel finds a rare but sometimes. If you're simply negative about everything you will get one thing right. I'm not a happy clapper at all but you just drain fun out of everything.
James Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 LOL. You still havent apologised for abusing me when I said Jay Rod wouldnt be back til Feb. Not being miserable, just saying Clyne a doubt for Sunday with a nasty kick. Do you disagree with that? I wouldn't say there is any evidence he is a 'doubt for Sunday' - its just a cut on his knee!
Saint Charlie Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Is this even Clynes body part? Yeah it is. Fonte said so. Just a cut at the top of Clyne's foot. Sure it will be fine.
Roger Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Pretty sure it is a foot. Are you stevie wonder?
Dr Who? Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Can someone give it a rub and kiss it better!?
James Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Yeah it is. Fonte said so. Just a cut at the top of Clyne's foot. Sure it will be fine. Except for the fact its quite clearly his knee....
Kingsland Red Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 How is it his knee, the photo is of the ankle /leg joint ?
Saint Charlie Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Are you stevie wonder? Clearly his foot.
Saint Charlie Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Unless his kneecap is wider than his whole knee then thats not a knee! Clearly ankle/foot. Also a stud like that to the knee would have been a pretty bad foul.
CWD Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Except for the fact its quite clearly his knee.... Looks like the front of his ankle to me
Whitey Grandad Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Rotate the photo 90 degrees clockwise and his toes will be at the bottom. You can see the hairs on his leg. It's certainly not bone, I've had lumps like that kicked out of me and it's soft tissue that's showing white, and I don't mean Kleenex.
Dr Who? Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 It is his ankle ha ha ha, just looked at it the other way around. Jesus I have drank to much this week!
Dr Who? Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Got caught by a stud, under the shin pad and above the boot then... Sore, but will be fine!
Saint Charlie Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Are you stevie wonder? Still think its his knee Stevie?
Dr Who? Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Just shows how much they get kicked about, what a mess that foot and ankle are in!
Grigsy Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Where did James go..... And Roger who tells everyone off for being miserable. Have a look through his post history...up there with the dullest of the dullards.
Dr Who? Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Anyone who says that is a knee is a wally. I was a wally.... I only have beer as my reason for this!
Roger Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 And Roger who tells everyone off for being miserable. Have a look through his post history...up there with the dullest of the dullards. Happy Xmas to you too.
teacher Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 And Roger who tells everyone off for being miserable. Have a look through his post history...up there with the dullest of the dullards. Says the 'Newbe with 29 posts to his name!' I suppose it is the school holidays, haven't you got homework to do? Some people are never happy.
Grigsy Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Happy Xmas to you too. Cheers pal. You too. Cheer up for 2015!

Tis but a (superficial) flesh wound. Ronald Koeman says there were no injuries picked up today and the squad is in good shape for Chelsea. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30605421

Matthew Le God Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 My prayers were answered then. Clyne was touched by the noodly appendage and it healed him...
farawaysaint Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 Clyne was touched by the noodly appendage and it healed him... I won't have you shoving your collander wearing pirate day pasta based religion down my throat as a representative of FM who I believe should not promote one religion over another.
Tauro Posted 26 December, 2014 Posted 26 December, 2014 He will definitely be out for Sunday. Will take a couple of days for all the bruising to come out as it would take a massive hit to do that.
