ART Posted 22 December, 2014 Posted 22 December, 2014 Truly gutted to read that a true legend Joe Cocker passed away today. One of a kind who stands apart from other singing greats of the past 50 years. Rest in Peace Joe, you'll be greatly missed.
dronskisaint Posted 22 December, 2014 Posted 22 December, 2014 Great voice - sad loss but a great legacy
Toomer Posted 22 December, 2014 Posted 22 December, 2014 His cover of A Little Help From My Friends was better than the original IMO. R.I.P Joe.
sadoldgit Posted 22 December, 2014 Posted 22 December, 2014 His cover of A Little Help From My Friends was better than the original IMO. R.I.P Joe. Agreed, There weren't many Beatles cover than were better than the originals but his version was awesome. After Jack Bruce another sad loss of one of the veterans of the 60s.
ringwood Posted 22 December, 2014 Posted 22 December, 2014 unaware of his passing and had his music on in the car today, great voice
Lord Duckhunter Posted 22 December, 2014 Posted 22 December, 2014 His mad dogs and Englishman tour was what rock and roll is all about. For those who haven't seen the film it is well worth looking it up or some clips on u tube. 40 odd musicians put together by Leon Russell to show case joe , plus assorted hanger ons and a dog . Absolutely fantastic film and album , with some great versions of classic songs , honky tonk women, something , darling be home soon, the letter , delta lady and of course a little help from my friends . The album is always on the iPhone and blasted out regularly . I read the other day that He was Unwell but didn't realise how seriously RIP
ecuk268 Posted 23 December, 2014 Posted 23 December, 2014 From gas fitter's mate to Woodstock. RIP Joe.
Ludwig Posted 23 December, 2014 Posted 23 December, 2014 Will be remembered for the Michael Jackson incident at the Brits, but he was much more than that - great musician, great radio DJ and he will be greatly missed. R.I.P.
Dimond Geezer Posted 23 December, 2014 Posted 23 December, 2014 Will be remembered for the Michael Jackson incident at the Brits, but he was much more than that - great musician, great radio DJ and he will be greatly missed. R.I.P. I assume this is a joke.
Ludwig Posted 23 December, 2014 Posted 23 December, 2014 I think it was in jest, although I think he was also making a serious point about Jackson's ego. Great man.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 23 December, 2014 Posted 23 December, 2014 This is a great clip of a great song. Also features Bobby Keys who died a couple of weeks ago. The Xfactor generation don't know what they're missing.
