Saint-Armstrong Posted 21 December, 2014 Share Posted 21 December, 2014 (edited) https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=btK7r6Abg3Q Graziano Pellè: 11 goals and 3 assists in his first 20 games for Saints - £6.2m Dušan Tadić: 2 goals and 8 assists in his first 18 games for Saints - £10.9m (fees sourced from various reports - and Wiki!) So as we approach the end of 2014, with Koeman having backed his duo of Dutch imports to the tune of just under £20m, what do people make of them so far? And to put you on the spot, which was the best piece of business? SA Edited 21 December, 2014 by Saint-Armstrong

Dig Dig Posted 21 December, 2014 Share Posted 21 December, 2014 Pelle has proved the better value so far in that we are dependent on him in the much the same way we were with Lambert. A great replacement for sir Rickie.
Saint Charlie Posted 21 December, 2014 Share Posted 21 December, 2014 (edited) Pelle by a mile for actual consistent impact on results. Both good buys though. Only question mark is having the same impact away from home. 7 of Pelle's 8 league goals have been at home. He hasnt scored away in the league since the West Ham game in August. Tadic also less effective away. Edited 21 December, 2014 by Saint Charlie

It doesn't really but just interesting that for all his goals so far he has only scored in one away match out of eight but in five of the nine home matches. Not saying he is incapable of scoring more away from home, far from it, but just pointing it out. As a team away from home in the league we havent scored more than one goal since August against West Ham and since that game have only scored 3 times in 6 away league matches. That will need to improve to stay in the top 6. Edited 22 December, 2014 by Saint Charlie
SaintTex Posted 22 December, 2014 Share Posted 22 December, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=btK7r6Abg3Q The throw-in inbounds combo play at 0:43 is my favorite Saints play/goal of the year. I jumped out of my seat when it happened....such a thing of skill, beauty, creativity and teamwork.
Jack Posted 22 December, 2014 Share Posted 22 December, 2014 We really need to find that sort of confidence in our buildup play again. We seem to be slowing the ball down so much more and looking to keep possession by going sideways and backwards rather than being incisive. Some great team goals in there.
