Saint Rees Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Anyone know if there will be streams available for this game? Is it being shown in any other countries? I think there has been streams for every round up until now, so don't see why not
oldsarum Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 You think Bertrand has been "sketchy at best"? Echho this, just shows how people see different games Been one of our most consistant players all season and was MOM for me on Saturday
SFC Chris Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Would definitely give Gardos and Targett a start. Hopefully Morgan makes it and I'm looking forward to seeing JWP back. Hoping Mane is nowhere near the team, if Tadic needs a rest I'd rather see Mayuka out there. Getting down there about 4pm so should be in the pub for 5 - looking forward to it!
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Talk on the Sheffield United boards that they may go with a 4-6-0 'False Nine' formation. League 1's changed in the few years since we left it
tartan_saint Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Anyone travelling up from Soton and staying over the night? Our driver has bailed and 2 of us have been left without transport. We're really not wanting to fork out £100 for a train. Happy to split petrol. etc.
Window Cleaner Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 [video=youtube_share;N8oFrG8hdTY] Seems to brush our 1 point from 5 games under the rug very easily, sure we could have won but we didn't and we lost to a bottom grubber to boot.

League 1's changed in the few years since we left it Still think the 4-6-2 Pacific formation is better, the trailing bogey allows for extra coal capacity.
ericofarabia Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Anyone know if there will be streams available for this game? Is it being shown in any other countries? As I mentioned earlier - BeIn Sports showing it Live in Middle East so should be streams out there.
Shropshire Saint Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Still think the 4-6-2 Pacific formation is better, the trailing bogey allows for extra coal capacity. Also known as the Bullied formation.
CB Fry Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 # Hypothetical question klaxon # If our opening 16 fixtures and results had been reversed (i.e. 1 point from the first 5 games but now closing in on 4th place) would people be still be dismissing our chances of qualifying for Europe via League position as much as some are doing now? I'm as inclined as most to put out our strongest team for the cup game, but I'm still bullish about our chances of finishing top 6 in the league. Some of us would rather win the cup than finish 6th anyway, so personally my view would be the same in either situation.
Sour Mash Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Seems to brush our 1 point from 5 games under the rug very easily, sure we could have won but we didn't and we lost to a bottom grubber to boot. What's your point? What do you want him to say?
simo Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 I have a spare for tomorrow now as a mates Mrs has put her foot down
LGTL Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 I have a spare for tomorrow now as a mates Mrs has put her foot down Wow, and he listened?! Have a word with him!
simo Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Wow, and he listened?! Have a word with him! It's delicate, he's going to see her mood tonight but he also doesn't fancy being single over Christmas lol
VectisSaint Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Davis injured too. Very tough game ahead. Where did this come from? Hopefully, if true, nothing that will keep him out of the Everton game.
Bucks Saint Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Where did this come from? Hopefully, if true, nothing that will keep him out of the Everton game. Reported on the Echo site, as a quote from RK
VectisSaint Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Reported on the Echo site, as a quote from RK http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/11668070.Saints_won_t_change_style_despite_Pelle_and_Davis_blows/?ref=mac Bad news, though nothing specific about the Davis injury (only that he is injured).
Matthew Le God Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Chris Foy is the ref - have we had him before this year? Michael Oliver is now the ref.
Batman Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/11668070.Saints_won_t_change_style_despite_Pelle_and_Davis_blows/?ref=mac Bad news, though nothing specific about the Davis injury (only that he is injured). Vic and JWP in the middle. Looks like Tadic, Davis and Pelle may be out. Morgan probably on the bench they are still a division 3 side who are on a mini poor run, like us thank god it isnt bournemouth away
alehouseboys Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Let's hope the fans are a bit more up for it tomorrow, the vocal support this season has been mostly crap. Seeing these old pics from the 70s stirs a bit of nostalgia for the old days of the scarves Everyone used to swing them above their heads to "Que, sera, sera" back then, Leeds at the Dell in the 79 semis stands out. Expecting a good old fashion raucous noise tomorrow night...they'll be at it early on at least.
Batman Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 in relation to saturdays game. Barkley has just scored a beauty and they look very good
Justin C Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Are likely to be any pubs showing it around Southampton
Lets B Avenue Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 3-0 to everton Certainly not Harry's fault.
ART Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Read that Long is to lead the line tomorrow night. I don't mind him being in the team but this game would have been ideal to give Ryan Seager a start in the senior team. Won't happen as he was playing tonight against Leicester. Top scorer for the Under 21's, the guy deserves an incentive. Shame he was not included in the squad at least.

Will he get an invite up there for tomorrow ......I wonder. He must surely be in the first team squad soon. 9 goals in 8 ...for U21s..... so far..
Saint-Armstrong Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 So, I'm picking up the poisoned chalice and attempting to keep the SaintsWeb news section packed with previews, reviews, other pieces and rumour-round ups and summary articles of the coverage Saints are receiving in the press! Wish me luck. Below is the SaintsWeb preview piece for the Sheffield United game, hopefully we can use these to lead match threads in future? Who knows! http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/content.php?525-PREVIEW-Sheffield-United-vs-SAINTS-Capital-One-Cup-Quarter-Final Anyway, if you could do me a favour and check out this thread, also, that'd be fantastic - thanks: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?52721-Explanation-on-the-future-of-the-news-section-Sheffield-United-preview-now-live!#.VI9WNV4qdSU
dannysfc Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 I was thinking of going but am not now but I still think we'l surely have enough for them and am going for either a 2/3-1 Win but we'l see....!!! COYR!
suewhistle Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 we wont need to imagine it, you'll be leading it. You do post some c**p Ludwig, but that made me laugh..
suewhistle Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 Also known as the Bullied formation. We'll probably get a couple of players sent off and have to adopt the Drummond T9 formation (as driven by Grandad!).
Kingsland Red Posted 16 December, 2014 Posted 16 December, 2014 We'll probably get a couple of players sent off and have to adopt the Drummond T9 formation (as driven by Grandad!). Battle of Britain Class every time for me, 4-6-2 designed by Bulleid .
LA77 Posted 16 December, 2014 Posted 16 December, 2014 Does anyone know if you can leave your car at the stadium whilst travelling on the coach? Years ago I know you could. Many thanks

Saint Garrett Posted 16 December, 2014 Posted 16 December, 2014 Just about to get on the train at Basingstoke, COME ON YOU SAIINNNTTSSS!!!!
View From The Top Posted 16 December, 2014 Posted 16 December, 2014 Already getting grief off my students about getting knocked out by a L1 side. Today has the feel of "cup upset".
Turkish Posted 16 December, 2014 Posted 16 December, 2014 Already getting grief off my students about getting knocked out by a L1 side. Today has the feel of "cup upset". agree, think it's got upset written all over it. Premier league side out of form with a few injuries go to relatively decent lower league club. Still, setting off from work at 5 more in hope than optimism.
Window Cleaner Posted 16 December, 2014 Posted 16 December, 2014 Battle of Britain Class every time for me, 4-6-2 designed by Bulleid . Were those the 34000s or 35000s ?
Lets B Avenue Posted 16 December, 2014 Posted 16 December, 2014 Just about to pick up a large carry out from the Guide Dog.
Bucks Saint Posted 16 December, 2014 Posted 16 December, 2014 On the train too (from Kings Cross, should beat most of you!). Dont understand the cup upset worries, barring a freak penalty / sending off or two, RK is going to put out a side which will be too strong by a margin for that to happen
ART Posted 16 December, 2014 Posted 16 December, 2014 Players been away from home since last Thursday just hope they've not found the together time too boring. Has the ring of the Villa game with them turning round in circles all day waiting to the game at 8pm.
Baird of the land Posted 16 December, 2014 Posted 16 December, 2014 Hoping Reed finally gets a chance.
