Saints - the future?

I think it failed because all those who like to talk about share collectives don't have any money. That's why they like the idea of a lot of other people doing the hatchet work for them.

I've got loads of money and no shares. I really don't give a rats arse, I think it's a shame the disenfranchised shareholders don't have the wit to start something to give them a say..

Are you sure about that??

I thought most football season tickets are stated to be non-refundable under normal circumstances (there are special cases, admin etc where you're considered as a creditor for the rest of the ticket)

Small print says refunds are at the club's discretion.

Terrific to see you posting again Duncan.

Wonderful opening question at the AGM.

I feel we now need to support Leon now more than ever.

I'm sure the rest will then follow.

I certainly know one or two who will

Good to read that FF is posting again and some really positive ideas on the thread.

But who is going to step up and lead us out of the sh*t we are in?

Leon,

There is nobody else at this moment.

But Leon does have the support of some good people out there.

Then why don't they get together, get some money and buy RL and MW out or at least buy other shares, call an EGM and get RL and MW out?

I think I can guess the answer!!

I'm getting pretty peed off with people talking the talk but not walking the walk. Fulthorpe, Salz, LLS.....the list goes on and on.

The only way we are going to get some really direction at the club is if someone buys ALL the shares, all IMHO

Exactly BBB good post - I am sick of all these idiots getting their kicks on here falsely raising fans hopes.

I now take the stance that they are all bull****ters who couldn't deliver a pizza let alone a takeover package.

The money required to buy out Wilde or Lowe is chicken feed to them yet all they do is hide behind false promises.

I sort of agree. But when its the only source of optimism left it is bound to attract interest and attention from the fans.

I tell you what, Fulthorpe would be a bloody hero if he could take over, bring in some cash and Shearer as a real manager with enough time to buy in some experience and maybe claw back some of our loanee strikers.

Talk about lifting up our heads - he's on a bloody winner if he could pull it off... and whats more given Rupert has now set the scene for relegation I think we'd even forgive him that inevitability at the end of the season.

But its all false optimism and they are feeding off you, the state the club is in and your loyalty and they are all laughing at the fans on here who are desperate for a takeover.

Its like us hoping we sign an Iwelumo and Upson those are the chances as much as a takeover so get wise mate and give it up.

I know. And you are right. But football is all about optimism. It is all about stepping up and supporting something you believe in and hope will be successful - as we know that success will not come for many many seasons under the current regime its natural to look elsewhere.

The only thing I can hang on to and I suspect many others is the hope that one day SFC will return and we'll have a Club to be proud of again.

There is no optimism under Lowe. Little as a result of the guidance of the other senior shareholders. None in this plc. And (arguably more importantly) virtually none on the pitch.

So, we can but hope AND ENCOURAGE someone to come forth and takeover. But hey, times are tough. Who knows? We need some optimism. Ironic that it may be falsely placed in a nonexistant takeover.... but there is no where else to place it.
