once_bitterne Posted 10 December, 2014 Posted 10 December, 2014 Due to their participation in the Ropey League.
Whitey Grandad Posted 10 December, 2014 Posted 10 December, 2014 Due to their participation in the Ropey League. Thanks, I've updated my calendar. Can they get knocked out of it by then? (We can always hope)
once_bitterne Posted 10 December, 2014 Author Posted 10 December, 2014 Thanks, I've updated my calendar. Can they get knocked out of it by then? (We can always hope) Nope, that's the date for the first round of knockout fixtures.
oldsarum Posted 10 December, 2014 Posted 10 December, 2014 Due to their participation in the Ropey League. not necessarily it could be played on the Monday Only certainty is that it will not be Saturday
ericofarabia Posted 10 December, 2014 Posted 10 December, 2014 Stolen from The UI site about the change....... A small price to pay for the enjoyment I got from last night Made me LOL.
Trout-Tickler Posted 10 December, 2014 Posted 10 December, 2014 Can only hope they're drawn against some Russian outfit!!
svetigpung Posted 10 December, 2014 Posted 10 December, 2014 Bugger , i'm gonna fly over for this big one and was hoping for a saturday match. Now i must take the monday off work to get back home. At least its not been moved to the MNF slot. Now lets book those flights.

trousers Posted 10 December, 2014 Posted 10 December, 2014 (edited) At least its not been moved to the MNF slot. Have Sky announced their fixtures that far ahead yet? The latest Premier League game I can see on their fixture list is Sunday 1st Feb. http://www1.skysports.com/watch/football-on-sky I'd venture it's highly likely that Sky will choose this game (either Sunday or Monday) Edited 10 December, 2014 by trousers
Batman Posted 10 December, 2014 Posted 10 December, 2014 liverpool at home lets hope they have not sorted their shyt out by then
once_bitterne Posted 10 December, 2014 Author Posted 10 December, 2014 Hasn't been moved yet... It has in effect as all Europa ties will be played on the Thurs before the Liverpool game and so that means there is a 0% chance our game with them can go ahead on the Saturday. I suppose Sky could make it a Monday night game tho......
Sour Mash Posted 10 December, 2014 Posted 10 December, 2014 It has in effect as all Europa ties will be played on the Thurs before the Liverpool game and so that means there is a 0% chance our game with them can go ahead on the Saturday. I suppose Sky could make it a Monday night game tho...... Yeah, so it could be moved to the Monday and hasn't been "moved" to any date yet.
VectisSaint Posted 10 December, 2014 Posted 10 December, 2014 Thanks, I've updated my calendar. Can they get knocked out of it by then? (We can always hope) Nope, its after R32 1st leg, so they could be sweating having narrowly lost the 1st leg and needing to save their players for the 2nd leg before getting knocked out again.
SaintSparky Posted 10 December, 2014 Posted 10 December, 2014 Another league game that could be impacted is Spurs at SMS on Saturday 25th April. If Spurs make the Europa League quarter finals then they would be due to play the 2nd Leg on Thursday 23rd April in which case our game would be moved after the round of 16 on March 19th; if it had not already been re-scheduled for TV by that time.
devonsaint Posted 10 December, 2014 Posted 10 December, 2014 Oh dear, another defeat looming if our non-Saturday league record continues: Saturday games: P9, W8, D1, L0 = 25 points Non Saturday games: P6, W0, D1, L5 = 1 point
Lets B Avenue Posted 11 December, 2014 Posted 11 December, 2014 Can only hope they're drawn against some Russian outfit!! They wont be seeded as they didn't have one of the 4 best records of the 8 teams dropping out of the Champions League. They will be at home in the 1st leg, on the Thursday before our match. They cant be drawn against Spurs or Everton in this round.
svetigpung Posted 11 December, 2014 Posted 11 December, 2014 So nothing is decided yet , apart from LFC are proper ****e. So when will it be official?
Picard Posted 15 December, 2014 Posted 15 December, 2014 So Liverpool playing Besiktas home and away on the 19th and 26th Feb. In 2007/8 Liverpool beat Besiktas 8:0. Don't think it will be the same this time.
Redslo Posted 16 December, 2014 Posted 16 December, 2014 not necessarily it could be played on the Monday Only certainty is that it will not be Saturday Don't they have to play on the next Thursday too?
Batman Posted 16 December, 2014 Posted 16 December, 2014 Yeah, so it could be moved to the Monday and hasn't been "moved" to any date yet. I doubt it now, if Liverpool are away on the Thursday after
Picard Posted 16 December, 2014 Posted 16 December, 2014 If game is on Sunday: three days rest before game (for Liverpool) four days rest after. Game on Monday: four days rest before game and three after.(if they play on the two Thursdays) So from that point of view match could be Sunday or Monday.

Game on Monday: four days rest before game and three after.(if they play on the two Thursdays) So from that point of view match could be Sunday or Monday. It'll only be monday if its on TV. What're the other fixtures that weekend?

Saints foreva Posted 19 December, 2014 Posted 19 December, 2014 Knew it would be on Sky. Having a Sky subscription is like having a Liverpool season ticket.
The9 Posted 19 December, 2014 Posted 19 December, 2014 Thanks for this. 4:15 is an unusual time, isn't it normally 4:05? Hasn't been for this season at least (Newcastle v Everton on 28th is also 1615). It used to be 4:06pm for a while too, I think it's to allow for a noon, 1405 and 1615 kick off to be shown with the appropriate amount of Jamie Redknapp literally-ing in between.
Lets B Avenue Posted 19 December, 2014 Posted 19 December, 2014 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/9612028/premier-league-february-fixtures-live-on-sky-sports Sky must be pretty confident that Chelsea will win their Semi-Final. They've put the Scousers on at Noon on the day of the final. That or its a first in fixture congestion.
Ulrich van Gobbel Posted 19 December, 2014 Posted 19 December, 2014 Oh FFS.. 21st February is my 30th birthday so I was looking forward to a 3pm KO and a few beers!

I've normally got my TV thingy set to record them and then I skim through later.
