We Spent Nearly £40mill on Mane, Long, Forster and Gardos

I preffered 100 perSaint myself. Yet to see what Yuki's personality will be like - but if it's one of Glasgow's I think we can guess. He's obviously missed being a nobhead as he's been very restrained with his Heisenberg login.

What I worry about is Glasgow's ability to pay for all these logins. Maybe he'll have to start using a food bank...

bet there are a few wanting it to go wrong so they can start the "I was right in the summer" threads

Well there are a certainly a few knobs who give it large about having been right in the summer because we made a good start, without being able to see that there were still problems, unbelievable really. So why is there a problem with a few people redressing the balance? Fact is we are where we are, still seriously short of a decent squad (as opposed to team) with a major lack of alternatives in one or two positions, yet still doing pretty good thank you. Just a shame when we make the same mistakes as last season, you would think the Club would learn from the mistakes.

It is a fair point.

Long has not scored the goals (and missed many chances) required. He does however, work very hard and is direct. Thought he did well last night but he really needs to add the goals to his game.

Mane. He needs time out of the team to learn how to play football in this country. Awful performance last night and it was telling when Pelle and Bertrand were openly having a right go at him (a few times)

Gardos is just odd. But Yoshida has done nothing wrong really so in a way, good to have competition. Trouble is, we have no idea if he is any competition!!! Is he a good'un or another Forren. We have no idea. But Yoshida is a very able squad player and should be signed up IMO

Forster. Good keeper. Brilliant at arsenal and for the start of the season (saved more shots at him than anyone else in the league) but the last 3 out of 4 games, he has not covered himself in any glory. Completely rooted to his line for their 2nd last night

People kept harping on about how great our recruitment was/is. But is it? Is it really better than most of the league????? Probably not

Long is a valuable squad member, Forster is a top goaly (fogotten the Arsenal performance already?) Mane has the pace everyone has been crying for and if the 'supporters' don't destroy him he will offer more and more, Gardos is must be having a problem settling in, some people need more time than others. Our signings have been very good and, by the way, I'm happy to be fifth

What mistakes? We are short of quality in depth. That is something a team like us will never have due to the cost of quality replacements (both transfer fees and wages). Hence, we have to look to the youth team to provide our ultimate depth, as you can expect 2 or 3 injuries at any one time. What would you propose we do?

Just out of interest, what did Forster do wrong against City?

Lets be fair, if Mane was really good at football, and lightening quick, he would be world class and worth £50m. He's incredibly frustrating and will be sh!t quite regularly, but he will also create out of nothing,

Forster is young for a keeper, hasn't convinced me as yet, but he's not Englands no 2 keeper for no reason.

Gardos was excellent vs Arsenal in the cup, but had a tough game at Stoke. Yoshi has let no-one down when he has played this year, and is playing for a new contract - potentially Koeman wants to see abit more of him before deciding on new contracts?

Long is a hard worker, and a good player to have, however he needs to start putting his chances away - never worth £12m, but we had to get someone in who was proven in this league - Tadic and Pelle could have been European flops.

We still have a long way to go, however there is promise there. We just need a few players back so we can rotate when layers aren't doing well. At the moment, we don't have the squad to rotate. Can't expect every player to be on it every single game - it's just not realistic.

I'd agree with all that, apart from the last line. Not sure if our recruitment is "great", but if you compared it to Spurs, Liverpool, Man Utd, QPR, I think it stands up pretty well.
