SNSUN Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 Blyth Spartans! I quite fancy a non-league draw. Or Norwich, for obvious reasons.
Colinjb Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 For what? For defecting to there from my second team Margate. It's like when 'Arry crossed the divide between the two halves of Hampshire.
DT Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 A team that doesn't injure any more of our players, please
Professor Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 Number 35 (Saints) against number 36 would be fun.
nta786 Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 Number 35 (Saints) against number 36 would be fun. just like Sunderland was last season. If we get Blythe Spartans I would legit make a journey up there haha
Mattio Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 That'll do, easily winable home draw, 4th round should be easy.
beavis17 Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 A 'homecoming' for Biakowski And McGoldrick...
nta786 Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 For **** sake. Utterly dull. That'll do, easily winable home draw, 4th round should be easy. ^^ this. what's to complain? a home game which on paper, we are favourites for?
doddisalegend Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 I enjoyed that last time we meet in the FA Cup
waylander Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 Ipswich are 2nd in the Championship - this is not a soft draw!
Saints foreva Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 Bartosz Bialkowski @1BartMan1 Saints v Ipswich in FA CUP!!! Buzzing!!!!
Batman Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 What isn't dull? In the last few years we have played most of the football league
Badger Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 Ipswich are 2nd in the Championship - this is not a soft draw! Similar to Burnley last season then.
Lighthouse Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 Yaaaaaaaawn! For **** sake. Utterly dull. I'm guessing we didn't draw 1970s Brazil then?
Patrick Bateman Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 Ipswich are 2nd in the Championship - this is not a soft draw! Annoying more than anything. Oh and a bit boring.
Sour Mash Posted 9 December, 2014 Posted 9 December, 2014 I'm happy enough with the draw, tough, but winnable game. We could do without a long trip, with Newcastle and Man Utd already on the cards.
John Boy Saint Posted 9 December, 2014 Posted 9 December, 2014 Mick will have them giving it a go to give his boys a taste of playing in the Prem. Just like big Sean did with Burnley where he let them loose then reined them in for the job at hand.
Lets B Avenue Posted 9 December, 2014 Posted 9 December, 2014 Mick will have them giving it a go to give his boys a taste of playing in the Prem. Just like big Sean did with Burnley where he let them loose then reined them in for the job at hand. He will probably make 11 changes like he did in the League Cup. They did lose in the 1st rd against Crawley though. As they are going for promotion I'm sure he will do it again.
stevegrant Posted 11 December, 2014 Posted 11 December, 2014 Tickets on sale from tomorrow morning to most season ticket holders, £10 for adults, £5 for 17-21 and over-65s, £3 for under-17s. Season ticket holders in blocks 41 and 42 will have to wait until next Friday (19th) to relocate, and general sale commences that afternoon, which doesn't really give everyone much time to pick their spot. Would have thought they'd be able to sell tickets to block 41/42 ST holders for seats elsewhere in the ground that aren't owned by another ST holder sooner, rather than only giving them a 4-hour window ahead of general sale.
Saints foreva Posted 11 December, 2014 Posted 11 December, 2014 Should get a good crowd for it. Great prices.
StDunko Posted 11 December, 2014 Posted 11 December, 2014 Well chuffed with that price, well done Saints!

Definitely a bit odd to do it like that. I'll likely be going with a group of non-regulars so luckily it doesn't make much difference to me, but I can see how that might inconvenience a few. Kills any chance of a decent atmosphere, but FA Cup regulations aren't the club's fault. Migration to Itchen North for the day? Be good to get a load of young 'uns through the door - fans of tomorrow and all that. £3 a ticket for U17s is excellent.
SFCRedandWhite Posted 11 December, 2014 Posted 11 December, 2014 Ipswich have taken an initial allocation of 3100 which i presume will be increased to 4000. I'm in Kingsland North so wont be any worry to me! Will be interesting to see where the Northam ST holders choose to sit...
Sour Mash Posted 11 December, 2014 Posted 11 December, 2014 Great ticket prices, absolutely spot on. Should be a crowd of 20k+.

Not what I'm reading. They can get unreserved seats tomorrow and also have first dibs on seats not taken up by STH on the 19th. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/tickets-southampton-vs-ipswich-town-04012015-2137731.aspx
bpsaint Posted 11 December, 2014 Posted 11 December, 2014 Very good pricing, more post Cortese era sensible-ness it would seem. Not happy I have to move seats though!
biondani Posted 11 December, 2014 Posted 11 December, 2014 Does anyone know if we can get an extra seat on season ticket?

It's more than 4,000 if they've got block 41 as well, probably closer to 5,000.
stevegrant Posted 11 December, 2014 Posted 11 December, 2014 4200 is generally the maximum away allocation given for cup games. The segregation netting goes over half of block 41, which allows the other half to keep their seats.

Seem to remember my old season ticket seat in Block 41 being used for away fans and me having to relocate. Didn't have to relocate in the cup games against Pompey/United. The segregation was in block 42 for those two games and they both had 4,000 I think.
View From The Top Posted 11 December, 2014 Posted 11 December, 2014 Why is it a Sunday game. Am I missing something?
Batman Posted 11 December, 2014 Posted 11 December, 2014 Why is it a Sunday game. Am I missing something? can only imagine it is our schedule games on the 26, 28 and 1st over the xmas/new year period having this on the 3rd jan would be mental (I guess)
S-Clarke Posted 11 December, 2014 Posted 11 December, 2014 Why is it a Sunday game. Am I missing something? It's the schedule this year, as the new year day games are so close. It has brought up quite a bit of debate and derision that it further 'tarnishes' the magic of the FA Cup, as 'third round Saturday' has always been an historical day.
Sour Mash Posted 12 December, 2014 Posted 12 December, 2014 Why is it a Sunday game. Am I missing something? Last time I checked the Skates were home in the league to Tranmere on the Sat, don't know if its because of policing results. And not sure if Tranmere are still in the comp/ Guess it suits us for the Sunday anyway.
JRM Posted 12 December, 2014 Posted 12 December, 2014 Yeah it definitely suits us being the sunday allowing some recovery time after the Arsenal game. We then get a week off before Man Utd away. Excellent prices but I really can't see Ipswich bringing that many down on a Sunday , no doubt there will be engineering works on the trains. I reckon Ipswich will rest some players if they're still top 2 in championship , we will also rest a number of players if still in the league cup. Any idea what we are changing for the saints bar in hospitality?
