TopGun Posted 3 December, 2014 Posted 3 December, 2014 Might create an auction between Inter and Boca Juniors. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2857946/Dani-Osvaldo-wanted-Boca-Juniors-Southampton-striker-impresses-loan-Inter-Milan.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
Bucks Saint Posted 3 December, 2014 Posted 3 December, 2014 Whoop. Not holding my breath that will get more than £5m
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 3 December, 2014 Posted 3 December, 2014 Might create an auction between Inter and Boca Juniors. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2857946/Dani-Osvaldo-wanted-Boca-Juniors-Southampton-striker-impresses-loan-Inter-Milan.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 Inter won't buy him. They have no money whatsoever.
Toomer Posted 3 December, 2014 Posted 3 December, 2014 I think it's a case of get what we can for him a draw a line under it and put it down to a rare bit of bad business.
Foxstone Posted 3 December, 2014 Posted 3 December, 2014 Inter won't buy him. They have no money whatsoever. Bit of a bugger that, because Boca have no money either..
Crowds Posted 3 December, 2014 Posted 3 December, 2014 I think it's a case of get what we can for him a draw a line under it and put it down to a rare bit of bad business. Wouldn't say rare...... Gaston, Osvaldo, Mayuka, Gazzaniga all pretty poor wonder whos fault these were and what the cost has been 30m plus?
Saint Mikey Posted 3 December, 2014 Posted 3 December, 2014 Wouldn't say rare...... Gaston, Osvaldo, Mayuka, Gazzaniga all pretty poor wonder whos fault these were and what the cost has been 30m plus? Which club has had a 100% success rate on transfers over a prolonged period of time? We've had a fair few duds since the ML takeover, but the successes far outweigh the failures - that constitutes a successful transfer policy.
VectisSaint Posted 3 December, 2014 Posted 3 December, 2014 Wouldn't say rare...... Gaston, Osvaldo, Mayuka, Gazzaniga all pretty poor wonder whos fault these were and what the cost has been 30m plus? I think we can safely blame Paul Mitchell now.
Ewell Posted 3 December, 2014 Posted 3 December, 2014 Wouldn't say rare...... Gaston, Osvaldo, Mayuka, Gazzaniga all pretty poor wonder whos fault these were and what the cost has been 30m plus? Poor old Tottenham!
Bad Wolf Posted 3 December, 2014 Posted 3 December, 2014 Wouldn't say rare...... Gaston, Osvaldo, Mayuka, Gazzaniga all pretty poor wonder whos fault these were and what the cost has been 30m plus? I still think the other 3 can come good. Gazzaniga is only a baby for a goalkeeper and Mayuka is still young and shows promise in small doses. Not 100% about Gaston though, I'm not sure he's cut out for the physicality and pace of the PL.

Isn't he the same age as Gaston?
david in sweden Posted 4 December, 2014 Posted 4 December, 2014 it's a no-brainer. Boca Juniors ?.......Give us the money and we'll even pay for his airline ticket.

And has never put in a performance close to that of a Premier League keeper. Age means nothing if he isn't showing any signs of notable talent. Mayuka likewise has done bugger all other than win a penalty 2 years ago. He failed to impress out on loan either. Two players we would be well rid of IMO. I can see Osvaldo just drifting around on loan until his contract runs out. I really can't see anyone actually paying for him, not for more than a couple of million anyway.
saint lard Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 Dropped to the bench again for inter tonight. We will be lucky to recoup anything at this rate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

SuperMikey Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 He is a die-hard Boca fan so I guess if they want him then he'll end up there provided they can pay his way. Not sure if he would still harbour any ambitions of getting back the striker spot for the national team, what with the likes of Balotelli, Immobile, Cerci and now Pelle in front of him in the pecking order. If he wanted to fight for that place he may choose to stay in Italy with Inter or another team. Ultimately we just need to get shot of him. We can afford to cut our losses on him now, although I do hope for the guys sake that he ends up somewhere he can settle because he seems to be quite troubled. He'd be revered at Boca so he may plump for being the popular choice as opposed to having to fight to regain his reputation elsewhere as he has been doing for the last 4 or 5 years.
saint lard Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 He was useless, inter Milan absolutely dire......what a fall from grace for that club. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agree with that thought. He may not be able to command the same high salary if he joins Boca ??..but if he has safely invested some of his previous earnings, then he won't be short of a taxi fare. HIs behaviour pattern may be acceptable to South American fans, but at 29 (?) ...and in Europe....." the train may already have left the station ". for Osvaldo. He'll need to make a definite decision soon, if he's looking for another 3-4 year contract, with a reasonably good salary at another club.
S-Clarke Posted 8 December, 2014 Posted 8 December, 2014 He was useless, inter Milan absolutely dire......what a fall from grace for that club. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk He's not that good a player tbh, just a bog standard average Italian striker. Nothing special. Pelle is a notch up on him. (we bought the wrong one last year!)
