The Cat Posted 1 December, 2014 Posted 1 December, 2014 There's quite a few people watching. Are fans allowed in now? There's even some Man Utd flags up.
ART Posted 1 December, 2014 Author Posted 1 December, 2014 It's filling up nicely and great to see Sammy Lee there. Pitch looks first class and the speed of the game looks pretty fast
S4INT Posted 1 December, 2014 Posted 1 December, 2014 0-0 after 75 mins, looks like United should have had a penalty just now though (not given)
doddisalegend Posted 1 December, 2014 Posted 1 December, 2014 Nice mike work on this stream no mistaking the err discussions with the ref
The Cat Posted 1 December, 2014 Posted 1 December, 2014 Fully deserved from what I saw. Targett and Rowe hit the woodwork too.
trousers Posted 1 December, 2014 Posted 1 December, 2014 Would like to see Seagar involved in the first team squad at some point soon. He's been threatening to break through for a couple of years now.
Leicestersaint Posted 1 December, 2014 Posted 1 December, 2014 I would get Seager into the first team squad - and some of the others too. very impressive.
Kingsland Red Posted 1 December, 2014 Posted 1 December, 2014 Good Saints performance, several players looking ready for time with the first team, notably Omar Rowe and Ryan Seagar as well as those already there. And Gazzaniga looked comfortable too.
Gis Posted 1 December, 2014 Posted 1 December, 2014 Decent match....what was it with WWII going on in the background to the stream. Seager looks a handfull
ART Posted 1 December, 2014 Author Posted 1 December, 2014 Well done Saints, nice move from Isgrove and Seagar to score. Thought Reeds 50 yard free kick in goal very good indeed. He still make the bench on Wednesday when they take this for a warm up for him and Matt Target.
Saint86 Posted 1 December, 2014 Posted 1 December, 2014 Would like to see Seagar involved in the first team squad at some point soon. He's been threatening to break through for a couple of years now. Rowe's the boy, especially with the fact that we only have 3 fit wide players (do i include mayuka?)
trousers Posted 1 December, 2014 Posted 1 December, 2014 Rowe's the boy, especially with the fact that we only have 3 fit wide players (do i include mayuka?) Yep, Rowe's been knocking on the door for a while now too. I guess we've been a victim of our own success to some extent in that our lofty position has acted as a natural inhibitor to the youngsters getting a chance. The longer we stay in the top 4 the more likely koeman is to want to rely in senior squad members over blooding the youngsters. Ironically perhaps, if we tail off over the next few months we're more likely to see some of the youngsters getting game time as the pressure to retain our lofty position will ease somewhat.
david in sweden Posted 1 December, 2014 Posted 1 December, 2014 Would like to see Seagar involved in the first team squad at some point soon. He's been threatening to break through for a couple of years now. 1) some weeks back (one contributor on here ) said that Jason Dodd has suggested Ryan would be the next lad to make the first team squad. 2) ..I think it's his 7th goal in 8 starts this season.. 3) maybe a place on the bench Saturday (as a reward?).....
LostBoys Posted 2 December, 2014 Posted 2 December, 2014 Wait for the bids Harry Reed Matt Targett and Ryan Seagar
Goatboy Posted 2 December, 2014 Posted 2 December, 2014 Match Highlights and goal by Ryan Seagram Close but no. Seager.
Matthew Le God Posted 2 December, 2014 Posted 2 December, 2014 Who won't be playing on Wednesday Southampton FC #SaintsFCU21s team vs @ManUtd: Gazzaniga, Flannigan, McCarthy ©, Mugabi, Targett, Reed, Hesketh, Seager, Rowe, Isgrove, McQueen. 0 replies 3 retweets 11 favorites Southampton FC @SouthamptonFC 10m10 minutes ago #SaintsFCU21s substitutes Isted (GK), Cook, Willard, Sims, Gape. Why would that mean they won't be traveling with the first team squad vs Arsenal? Reed and Targett aren't starters for the first team, but if they didn't play for the under 21's they'd have very little in the way of competitive football to help their development. Saints have used a number of youngsters over the years in the under 21 games and also had them travelling and in the match day squad for the first team. Reed and Targett have done just this on a number of occasions already this season.

He's probably right - it's unlikely that any player will play on Monday and then again Wednesday.

He's probably right - it's unlikely that any player will play on Monday and then again Wednesday. Well they won't start, but that is not a surprise as neither of them has started a Premier League game before. Doesn't mean they won't be on the bench and potentially come on as a sub though, which is "playing".
ART Posted 2 December, 2014 Author Posted 2 December, 2014 Well done Saints, nice move from Isgrove and Seagar to score. Thought Reeds 50 yard free kick in goal very good indeed. He still (can) make the bench on Wednesday when they take this for a warm up for him and Matt Target. Once again Matthew Le God you don't read the posts. It was obvious a warm up match for the Under 21's last night. I'd like to see Ryan Seagar travel as a reward for his goals.
