Batman Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 Just seen the first part of the 2014 round up on the Saints YouTube channel. How did Boruc get off so lightly compared to Forster? If FF had let in half those goals it would be meltdown on here. Thought the very same Some very dodgy goals let in Happy new year
captainchris Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 We shouldn't have it at all. Forster is a huge upgrade on the erratic Boruc. He's made one ort two mistakes but none of them was yesterday. The defence have much, much more confidence in him which of course is one reason our defence has been so good this year. It was good too to see he had learnt from the Villa gaffe and got that decision exactly right. We lost yesterday because City gave their best performance of the season and frankly were better than us. Utter happy clappy rubbish !
jampot Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 Can we drop all the Fraser Forster bashing now, he is quality......
farawaysaint Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 I have never done this before so I feel am I entitled. Great keeper, called it
Smirking_Saint Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 What are we trying to blame Forster for today ? There must be something CaptainChris ? SaintSteve ? Christ we have some utter mongs on here
View From The Top Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 Utter happy clappy rubbish ! Shiit performance today. In no way contributed to our win. Nope, no way.
Wiggles31 Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 Top keeper yet to hit his peak. First season in the PL too so he is only going to get better.
SaintSteve Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 What are we trying to blame Forster for today ? There must be something CaptainChris ? SaintSteve ? Christ we have some utter mongs on here How pathetic to name posters who give an opinion on each game... totally agree, top class performance today... but to be ignorant to his previous errors is moronic
SaintSteve Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 What are we trying to blame Forster for today ? There must be something CaptainChris ? SaintSteve ? Christ we have some utter mongs on here I can now put you back on ignore as you don't provide anything to the forum, except witless remarks
jampot Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 His strong left hand save was an assist for our second goal....
Whitey Grandad Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 He was brilliant today. Kept us in the game when we were under pressure.
Smirking_Saint Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 (edited) I can now put you back on ignore as you don't provide anything to the forum, except witless remarks Later mate, I think most of us realised the criticism of Forster was overly harsh. The only real mistake Ive seen of him was the Villa mistake, the rest was just negative ********. Those asking for him to be dropped were the real pathetic ones, and its worth highlighting the moronic comments. Edited 1 January, 2015 by Smirking_Saint
madruss Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 His strong left hand save was an assist for our second goal.... Totally agree, one of the saves of the season, especially given he kept hold of it. Quality keeper

Only mistakes he has made is the Villa one, and arguably Sheffield United, and United's second goal. He has been exceptional, and has made many quality saves.
hypochondriac Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 City? Only mistakes he has made is the Villa one, and arguably Sheffield United, and United's second goal. He has been exceptional, and has made many quality saves. Could have done better with the goal away to West ham tbf. I agree he has been great though imo. The whole defence has been.

Turkish Posted 1 January, 2015 Posted 1 January, 2015 League 1 standard, I believe he is. Another classic from the lungs.
sadoldgit Posted 2 January, 2015 Posted 2 January, 2015 Quality yesterday. Do people still want Boruc back?
farawaysaint Posted 2 January, 2015 Posted 2 January, 2015 Forster has his weaknesses, but he is a very good keeper and still young to boot.
Saint_clark Posted 2 January, 2015 Posted 2 January, 2015 Delighted with how much more confident and in control he looks recently. Looks much more like the keeper I was raving about at Celtic.
Golden Balls Posted 2 January, 2015 Posted 2 January, 2015 One of his weaknesses when he arrived was apparently his kicking. Yesterday it was faultless. And although no keeper is 100% with their kicking, he is much more consistent than anyone since Niemi
Dark Munster Posted 2 January, 2015 Posted 2 January, 2015 Quality yesterday. Do people still want Boruc back? If FF gets injured, yes.
angelman Posted 2 January, 2015 Posted 2 January, 2015 Never thought that his kicking has ever been in question. The weakness is getting down quick enough for those shots close in to his body. Something that is no doubt quite hard for someone who is 6'7" but he seems to be getting better.
Huffton Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 Thoughts today? Personally I thought he could have done better for their goal, looked like he got a decent hand to it. But then again he had nothing to do for pretty much the entire half, pulling a save off like that from 'cold' isn't always easy...
ThreeSixty Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 Should have saved it no doubt. Also was caught flatted coming off his line a couple of times... AGAIN.

He couldve done better possibly but in reality its hit hard, well and is moving so is very difficult. He did well to get to it, so I cant really be blame him too much IMO. His crappy clearance to save a corner was however pretty poor
Smirking_Saint Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 Should have saved it no doubt. Also was caught flatted coming off his line a couple of times... AGAIN. When was he caught coming off his line ?
saintroyt Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 Some people on here obviously never make any errors in their lives wish we were all that perfect!
Jonnyboy Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 Some people point to Boruc' injury record, anyone know how many matches he's played so far this season?
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 He got a hand to it (nearly both) but the shot was hit well and moving away No fault of his His dodgy kick trying to stop a corner was more worrying
alpine_saint Posted 2 February, 2015 Posted 2 February, 2015 Maybe we should worry more about being as toothless as a gummy old granny waiting for her telegram from the Queen up front...
Greenridge Posted 28 June, 2018 Posted 28 June, 2018 SSN Transfer Centre: FORSTER FACING EXIT? Sky Sports News understands Southampton are prepared to listen to offers for goalkeeper Fraser Forster this summer. The former England international, who signed a five-year contract last summer, endured a difficult season and has not played for the club since Boxing Day. His team-mate Alex McCarthy signed a new contract at St Mary’s yesterday and Hughes is planning for life without Forster. But Southampton are seeking competition for McCarthy, and have turned their attention to Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn, who spent last season on loan with Norwich in the Championship.
DT Posted 28 June, 2018 Posted 28 June, 2018 Will anyone take him off our hands? Anyone? I think he should switch trades and become a bouncer.
saint77 Posted 28 June, 2018 Posted 28 June, 2018 Will anyone take him off our hands? Anyone? I think he should switch trades and become a bouncer. wouldn't work he would let everyone in who came near the door
Cabbage_Face Posted 28 June, 2018 Posted 28 June, 2018 Whoever he signs for better nail the pen to his hand, clumsy oaf.
beatlesaint Posted 28 June, 2018 Posted 28 June, 2018 Never the same after that injury. simply not true, don’t re-write history. He came back from that injury and he was exceptional for a while - arsenal away a case in point.
conaero Posted 28 June, 2018 Posted 28 June, 2018 I think he should go and good luck to him, he's been excellent....bar the demise last season. Should chalk a line under Saints and go in search of pastures new. Always performed well with VVD in front of him...just saying like
Give it to Ron Posted 28 June, 2018 Posted 28 June, 2018 2 different people have told me rumour is to Chelsea 10m to up their English quota no idea how true Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
SuperSAINT Posted 28 June, 2018 Posted 28 June, 2018 2 different people have told me rumour is to Chelsea 10m to up their English quota no idea how true That would be far too good to be true. We're normally rubbish at shifting players we don't want.

Lord Duckhunter Posted 28 June, 2018 Posted 28 June, 2018 Never the same after that injury. He’s been average from day one. He just had a decent defence in front of him. Even when he was keeping clean sheet after clean sheet, I don’t recall brilliant saves, the other sides just didn’t hit the target. How many times have you seen him make saves that you think “how did he save that”. A dozen maybe, and 10 of those were in two games (Liverpool & Arsenal) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

They believed in him, that much is clear to me. That is not to say he didn’t suffered a crisis of confidence last season, but he was very good for us at times whatever his ability as a goalkeeper. Doctoroncall Posted 28 June, 2018 Posted 28 June, 2018 That would be far too good to be true. We're normally rubbish at shifting players we don't want. I’ve heard Gunn is being lined up. He wouldn’t want to come being third choice but fighting for top spot with McCarthy would be of interest.
DT Posted 28 June, 2018 Posted 28 June, 2018 wouldn't work he would let everyone in who came near the door hah! and then he would pretend it was a worldy and he had no chance. he's brilliant at that. amazing he scrounged a living as a pro
