Roger Posted 27 November, 2014 Share Posted 27 November, 2014 Loads of us wanted to go but not for £41. That's just a joke. Hopefully bubble will burst soon and it will be more like it used to lol.
stevegrant Posted 27 November, 2014 Share Posted 27 November, 2014 Palace has always been one of the more expensive grounds, I remember them charging £35 back in 2005 and £30 in the Championship when it was a Monday night on TV.
Roger Posted 27 November, 2014 Author Share Posted 27 November, 2014 I know Steve. I just think it's taking the mick a bit. Still got my season ticket but thought it was a bit naughty putting them up again but that's a lot of money. Shame.

Expensive yes but worth noting club have put on discounted coach travel (£5 return) to the game which is at least a decent gesture.

hypochondriac Posted 27 November, 2014 Share Posted 27 November, 2014 (edited) But a shirt lasts (hopefully) for more than 90 minutes. You'd rather buy a shirt you don't like than watch the team you support just because the shirt you dislike would last longer? Odd. Hopefully bubble will burst soon and it will be more like it used to lol. Its becoming the norm in football, circa £40 for a ticket, mad. Look at some of the prices for Spurs/Chelsea/Arsenal higher category games. Saints should be subsidising match tickets instead of Travel Club travel. Wes Tender Posted 27 November, 2014 Share Posted 27 November, 2014 Palace have raised the ticket prices because we're now second and they need to make the most of attracting all the local plastics who want to watch all our glory team stars in action. Saint Garrett Posted 27 November, 2014 Share Posted 27 November, 2014 Can't stand paying that much for football. It's absolutely ridiculous especially when it's such a hole. If they want atmospheres to improve, they need to make it a more working class game again, rather than rich ppl the only ones who can afford to go. Working class people are scum who don't have the disposable income to be the type of fan we want to attract. Look what happened last time working class people were allowed to come to football, it was over run with thugs creating havoc in their reebok classics. How is a man on a low income with 4 children from 3 different women and isn't paying child support for any of them supposed to enjoy the family match day experience of the new improved lighting, excellent new LED screens, the superb range of merchandise not to mention the extensive range of food stuffs now available in the many kiosks at st Mary's? He could barely afford the match day ticket let alone take advantage of all of this should he bring himself and his ferrel offspring to the match. I say keep them away and keep them priced out, let them stay on Shirley high street on Saturday afternoons where they belong, leave the soccerball to those of us who can afford to take appreciate the match day experience, which in my opinion has never been better. The fact that St Marys and most of our away games are roughly around a sell out, plus or minus a few hundred say's they've got it about right. You know you've got the balance right when customers are saying, "these prices are outrageous... here take my money!"
