Ewell Posted 27 November, 2014 Share Posted 27 November, 2014 Statistically Southampton are the toughest away ground for the top 4 sides in Premier League history. Oh and I am not talking about fisticuffs but rather teams coming to St Mary's and leaving with any points. http://blog.paddypower.com/2014/11/27/which-is-the-toughest-away-ground-for-the-top-four-to-visit-in-the-premier-league-the-results-might-just-surprise-you/?AFF_ID=16562

S-Clarke Posted 27 November, 2014 Share Posted 27 November, 2014 I'm buzzing for it to be honest, no reason to fear, be nervous or worried. Just go into these games excited about what may be ahead. We could be going into the Burnley game on the 13th on 30 odd points...dreamy stuff.
CanadaSaint Posted 27 November, 2014 Share Posted 27 November, 2014 I'm sure that the players are relishing the upcoming games against the big boys - and probably have fewer misgivings than the average fan. For an athlete there's nothing like pitting your talents against the best and coming out on top. Despite what they say publicly about "taking one game at a time", they've been looking forward to this run of fixtures for weeks. But none more so than Koeman. Exactly this - the chance to pit yourself against the best is one to be enjoyed and not scared of. As a fan I know I've been looking forward to witnessing the battles. Wiggles31 Posted 28 November, 2014 Share Posted 28 November, 2014 I agree lets enjoy and relish the opportunity. We have nothing to lose which may work in our favour. The players will be totally up for this game and want to prove their the real deal. Absolutely buzzing for the next 3 games. Oh and if it all goes tits up we'll still be in the top 6 come Burnley and have a quarter final which I'm sure everyone would have creamed over given the choice in the Summer. david in sweden Posted 28 November, 2014 Share Posted 28 November, 2014 (edited) Some one once said "we have nothing to fear but fear itself"........enjoy the ride and lets see where we are at the end. this is one for we history buffs....(and from your side of "the pond")... Sarnia those actual words are from Franklin D.Rooseveldt. Deep into the 1930's Depression years, this paragraph was included in his inaugural speech as President (from his wheelchair).......in January 1933. ".....let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is - fear itself - nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyses needed efforts to convert retreat into advance ..." . FDR Southampton has a 21st century version ....We ARE the Saints - We March on .... Edited 28 November, 2014 by david in sweden
