sadoldgit Posted 24 November, 2014 Share Posted 24 November, 2014 All keepers make mistakes. For all his brilliance Boruc was prone to the odd howler. Some of them were very odd indeed!

SaintRobbie Posted 24 November, 2014 Share Posted 24 November, 2014 Shocking first half. We can only get better...right? I have a theory about Saints. Lose a half - win a half. I'm putting the 1st half down as a loss. We will be ok.
Shroppie Posted 24 November, 2014 Share Posted 24 November, 2014 We've missed Davis and even more so without Cork. Mane or Long has to come off and Cork on, more control in midfield. Morgan can then push up more.
S-Clarke Posted 24 November, 2014 Share Posted 24 November, 2014 And boruc is at Bournemouth. :-/ Ah yes, because Boruc never made mistakes. Never.

Chalkboy Posted 24 November, 2014 Share Posted 24 November, 2014 We have strolled into Birmingham overconfidently, players and Koeman. Ron will sort it out at the break though, I am sure. Hope they aren't starting to believe the hype about themselves - just turn up at lowly Villa and we'll win. Need to sharpen up, we look jaded so far. corky morris Posted 24 November, 2014 Share Posted 24 November, 2014 Front 4 very poor so far. Shape change has not helped. Either Mane or Long off, Cork on. JoeShmoe Posted 24 November, 2014 Share Posted 24 November, 2014 We are really missing Super Stevie.... tonight... an unsung hero This 100% Hugely underrated player for us, makes us tick and links the midfield 2 with the front

slickmick Posted 24 November, 2014 Share Posted 24 November, 2014 Why would you do that ? They are sticking 10 men behind the ball which makes a midfield effectively redundant. They are getting tight and compact around their box, a pretty little midfielder wont help us break that down. You need pace and width, and so we just need to carry on. If anything Pellè is coming far too deep, just like what Lambert did last year. His flicks arent finding anyone, if anything id push Long up on Clark who is sweeping behind Okore Think that's what he should be doing. I'd take him off for Cork, now watch him go and score. KingdomCome Posted 24 November, 2014 Share Posted 24 November, 2014 Villa were utter dross in the first 20 mins, should really have taken the opportunity. Down a goal to a silly mistake, still a very long way to go and they are still the same team. Perfectly winnable.

Pastor Patrón Posted 24 November, 2014 Share Posted 24 November, 2014 Forster's on a par with Boruc, he's not awful but he's certainly no better. Just a mid table keeper. I think I'd put Cork on for Mane and push Wanyama forwards a bit, don't know why, would just like to see him smashing through people a bit higher up the pitch. VectisSaint Posted 24 November, 2014 Share Posted 24 November, 2014 Good response. Our movement and passing are still crisp. Just not getting on the end of things. What game are watching? hackedoff Posted 24 November, 2014 Share Posted 24 November, 2014 Why are we playing to Villa's strengths and why are we playing Long and Mane together ? saintant Posted 24 November, 2014 Share Posted 24 November, 2014 Final ball has been poor but we've totally dominated this match. Villa are playing like the away team. They got really lucky with the goal - it was just a smashed panic clearance that fell perfectly for Agbonlahor - the defender didn't even mean it. But for that huge slice of luck and Fraser's rush of blood we'd be level and very comfortable. Sort out the final ball and we can still win this.
