Sheaf Saint Posted 17 November, 2014 Share Posted 17 November, 2014 So the average Saints fan leans politically to the right, but is most likely to read the Guardian? Something tells me this is a load of codsh*t
CB Fry Posted 17 November, 2014 Share Posted 17 November, 2014 Going by this thread, the average Saints fan is very likely to notice the contradiction between a right-leaning political standpoint and reading the Guardian.

ericofarabia Posted 18 November, 2014 Share Posted 18 November, 2014 Seems to be a fair few of us driving Alfas, given the relatively low numbers of them on the road. Typical professions are in Travel and Hospitality, Engineering and Mining Does anyone actually any Miners, let alone one who drives an Alfa Romeo and supports The Saints? For my part, being male and liking football, having a passing interest in watching birds and gardening, plus One Flew Over The Cucukoos Nest would probably feature in my Top 5 Films means I more Saint than most of you!!! SuperFan me up!!!
colehillsaint Posted 18 November, 2014 Share Posted 18 November, 2014 Typical professions are in Travel and Hospitality, Engineering and Mining Does anyone actually any Miners, let alone one who drives an Alfa Romeo and supports The Saints? Amongst other things, I am in quarrying, which I think is the same as mining. I support Saints. I could probably organise an Alfa if this would help. CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 18 November, 2014 Share Posted 18 November, 2014 If statistically speaking our average fan is supposed to be aged over 60 then (as there are clearly many thousands of young men and children at each game) there must be huge number of centenarians at St Marys too. Are we stockpiling old codgers under the Chapel Stand somewhere? Or maybe the stats are so odd because Methuselah is actually a Saints fan - as this passage from the Book of Revelations seems to suggest: And Methuselah lived an hundred and eighty-seven years, and he begat Bates, and Bates begate McMenemy. And the LORD GOD did say unto the father and all his sons: the children of the righteous are known by the colours I have given them and by the chip I have placed upon their shoulder. But beware thee children of Bates because the BEAST will be among you and he is only betrayed by his number, which shall be nineteen and one. And the LORD GOD then did say: Only when the Beast doth move from the blessed south to the land of the scousers shall thou learn to despise him for he is evil and an abomination ... Something tells me this is a load of codsh*t Going by this thread, the average Saints fan is very likely to notice the contradiction between a right-leaning political standpoint and reading the Guardian. To be fair, the Guardian leans to the left in a much narrower political spectrum. Yes, it maintains a keen interest in social justice, but it's not the Morning Star. You need to look at the standard deviation to see how the ages are distributed among the St Marys populace. More importantly, you would also need to look at the age distribution of people who respond to YouGov surveys. I'll now remove my statistical nerd's hat. eurosaint Posted 18 November, 2014 Share Posted 18 November, 2014 I said yes to 6 and a half out of 20 (like football but not cricket, hence the half) and no to the rest ! I am now gutted at the thought of not being an 'uberfan', the shame of it....
