Batman Posted 16 November, 2014 Author Posted 16 November, 2014 Game started. Then stopped again Players going off
T.REX Posted 16 November, 2014 Posted 16 November, 2014 Croatia fans just casually throwing flares on the pitch As you do Looks like that might be that for this match?
tpbury Posted 16 November, 2014 Posted 16 November, 2014 Players off! Flares on pitch Pelle was doing really well, but team-mates were being pressed into mistakes by Croatia, and couldn't get the ball forward. Now there's crowd trouble.
Batman Posted 16 November, 2014 Author Posted 16 November, 2014 Seems to be a bit of an issue with fans from that part of Europe
ART Posted 16 November, 2014 Posted 16 November, 2014 Dejan's daughter doesn't hold her punches when daddy doesn't get picked. A case of her throwing her flares out of her pram!
whelk Posted 16 November, 2014 Posted 16 November, 2014 Blind has done ligament damage to his knee (according to reports) De Gea dislocated finger as well. Not as if their defence wasn't a problem anyway. arsenal away next as well
benjii Posted 16 November, 2014 Posted 16 November, 2014 Bilic just congratulating Thatcher on stamping out hooliganism. Typical night on ITV 4.
stevegrant Posted 16 November, 2014 Posted 16 November, 2014 It's weird, almost as if the Croatian fans actually WANT to have the game awarded against them, despite currently drawing the hardest game in their group. Predictable to see the Italian police doing what they always do at slightly tetchy football matches, if it moves, swing a ****ing baton at it
Picard Posted 16 November, 2014 Posted 16 November, 2014 The match being held in Italy aren't the Italians responsible for crowd behaviour? They shouldn't be letting flares into the ground.
lickierambert Posted 16 November, 2014 Posted 16 November, 2014 With Blind out, United's centre backs and centre midfielders against Arsenal likely to be Smalling, Blackett, Fellaini and Herrera. Against Sanchez et al. I might make a point of watching that game

Against Sanchez et al. I might make a point of watching that game Hopefully they'll still be out on December 8th.
stevegrant Posted 16 November, 2014 Posted 16 November, 2014 The match being held in Italy aren't the Italians responsible for crowd behaviour? They shouldn't be letting flares into the ground. Easier said than done, unless they're going to start doing full airport-style screening of fans when they walk through the turnstiles. Flares and smoke bombs seem to be pretty easy to conceal, especially when the weather's crap so everyone's wearing coats and jumpers.

How can the Croatian FA stop people claiming to be Croatian fans taking flares into a stadium in Italy?
saintchris23 Posted 17 November, 2014 Posted 17 November, 2014 Ward-Prowse is injured according to Roy Hodgson He told reporters: "Ward-Prowse is a player we think has got an interesting future in that position. He's injured but I don't believe I'm going to be stuck for choice." http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/england/news/hodgson-ward-prowse-has-interesting-future_188669.html

CB Saint Posted 17 November, 2014 Posted 17 November, 2014 See there is going to be a minutes applause at the Scotland v England game to commemorate a Scottish fan who died at the weekend after falling down a stairwell at Celtic Park. Whilst this is a tragic event, does it really warrant this?
saintchris23 Posted 17 November, 2014 Posted 17 November, 2014 Hold the press! It was early.....we all have blonde moments
david in sweden Posted 17 November, 2014 Posted 17 November, 2014 The match being held in Italy aren't the Italians responsible for crowd behaviour? They shouldn't be letting flares into the ground. agree totally, but until UEFA change the rules properly , it's hard to control a few hooligans in a crowd of 40-50,000. You can't frisk everyone.
Crab Lungs Posted 17 November, 2014 Posted 17 November, 2014 Easily obtainable to get flares and firecrackers in Italy... People sold them right next to a huge police presence outside the Olimpico when I was there

suewhistle Posted 17 November, 2014 Posted 17 November, 2014 I see Reed also played 90 minutes.. England won on penalties BTW.
Batman Posted 17 November, 2014 Author Posted 17 November, 2014 Just heard on the radio that the police are expecting it to get rather naughty up there tomorrow night.
stevegrant Posted 17 November, 2014 Posted 17 November, 2014 Just heard on the radio that the police are expecting it to get rather naughty up there tomorrow night. Not exactly surprising news.
trousers Posted 17 November, 2014 Posted 17 November, 2014 Just heard on the radio that the police are expecting it to get rather naughty up there tomorrow night. The words "pope" and "catholic" spring to mind...
suewhistle Posted 17 November, 2014 Posted 17 November, 2014 I used to do volunteer stewarding at Wembley Arena and Wembley with friends of mine when I lived up that way: it was a way to see bands for free. Saw The Who, Pink Floyd (at Hammersmith), various other bands. I also did a couple of footy games: friendly against Brazil, and one against Scotland, both times in a standing bay (yep, that long ago). The first game was really good fun, but the Scots; at least in my bay, were an obnoxious, stroppy crowd of stroppy, drunk dwarves. I've plenty of Scots friends, but these lot were a complete pain in the a***.
trousers Posted 18 November, 2014 Posted 18 November, 2014 Stan Collymore @StanCollymore England. Forster/Clyne Smalling Cahill Shaw/Wilshere/Milner Ox/Downing/Rooney Welbeck
farawaysaint Posted 18 November, 2014 Posted 18 November, 2014 Stan Collymore @StanCollymore England. Forster/Clyne Smalling Cahill Shaw/Wilshere/Milner Ox/Downing/Rooney Welbeck Woo Fraser! Congratulations to Clyne as well, make that spot yours.
torsaint Posted 18 November, 2014 Posted 18 November, 2014 One third of team made up of Saints /ex Saints. Pity Lallana and Lambert not in starting line-up.
Saint Garrett Posted 18 November, 2014 Posted 18 November, 2014 Could have had 8 current or ex saints in the starting line up tonight Forster; Clyne Chambers Cahill Shaw; Henderson Wilshere; Walcott Lallana Chamberlain; Lambert Next time Woy
the saint in winchester Posted 18 November, 2014 Posted 18 November, 2014 One third of team made up of Saints /ex Saints. Pity Lallana and Lambert not in starting line-up. I thought the same! Saints rule!
Dark Munster Posted 18 November, 2014 Posted 18 November, 2014 Could have had 8 current or ex saints in the starting line up tonight Forster; Clyne Chambers Cahill Shaw; Henderson Wilshere; Walcott Lallana Chamberlain; Lambert Next time Woy And one of those non-saints is complete shite.

Scored against us but never played for us. His Blackburn partner in crime on the other hand... Think that should say Celtic... Anyway good for Fraser to get game time. Hart may be number 1 but there's no reason why Fraser can't oust Foster as number 2.
Smirking_Saint Posted 18 November, 2014 Posted 18 November, 2014 And one of those non-saints is complete shite. Who ?

Dark Munster Posted 18 November, 2014 Posted 18 November, 2014 Who ? I don't want to say. But Cahill and Wilshere are pretty good players.
Saint Charlie Posted 18 November, 2014 Posted 18 November, 2014 Pelle not in Italy squad apparently and Tadic has a knock so not playing tonight.
Smirking_Saint Posted 18 November, 2014 Posted 18 November, 2014 I don't want to say. But Cahill and Wilshere are pretty good players. Can only assume your bandwagoning about downing then Strange
hypochondriac Posted 18 November, 2014 Posted 18 November, 2014 Can only assume your bandwagoning about downing then Strange Doesn't he mean henderson?
Lets B Avenue Posted 18 November, 2014 Posted 18 November, 2014 Mc Goldrick makes his debut for Ireland v USA. Lays on the opener for Pilkington, who we were supposed to be interested in back in the Div 3 days.
