teedee38 Posted 13 November, 2014 Share Posted 13 November, 2014 I know everyone is waiting for our bubble to burst, maybe that's why the best Goal Difference in the top 4 Divisions isn't being highlighted along with 2nd place. Guess we will always be seen as a mid table club having a good spell until we start taking their Silverware and European places.
SNSUN Posted 13 November, 2014 Share Posted 13 November, 2014 Better goal difference than Dortmund, AC Milan, Inter and Athletico Madrid too just to put some big names out there! We screwed Feyenoord and Twente over on that score too. :-)

Ulrich van Gobbel Posted 13 November, 2014 Share Posted 13 November, 2014 Dortmund are having a stinker so far this season aren't they? Yep - 15th out of 18 teams in the Bundesliga. P11 W3 D1 L7.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 13 November, 2014 Share Posted 13 November, 2014 Dortmund are having a stinker so far this season aren't they? As are the two Milan's.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 13 November, 2014 Share Posted 13 November, 2014 As are the two Milan's. Crikey. Didn't realise that. Knew AC had been a mess for a few years now, but wow. Don't really follow that much European footy to be honest. As my ignorance is now showing.

They only got out of the relegation zone because of this: http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/cristoph-kramers-gladbach-50-yard-own-goal-to-hand-borussia-dortmund-win-official-video/

DuncanRG Posted 13 November, 2014 Share Posted 13 November, 2014 The other reason it's not being highlighted is that it's entirely down to one freak result.
Wiggles31 Posted 13 November, 2014 Share Posted 13 November, 2014 The other reason it's not being highlighted is that it's entirely down to one freak result. Forgetting that we've only conceded 5 goals this season.
DuncanRG Posted 13 November, 2014 Share Posted 13 November, 2014 Yeah, we're rightly being hailed for that but win the Sunderland game by a more reasonable score (say 4-0) and we would be behind a handful of teams. One of them would be the Cherries, mind, who also got an 8-0 win...
Wiggles31 Posted 13 November, 2014 Share Posted 13 November, 2014 Who cares anyway. If we have the best GD then lets enjoy it.

It's quite impressive, (considering it's Saints), but if we still have the same (best) defensive record after the New Year, we can really be impressed....along with all those doubting Thomases in the media ...... Goals are nice but we still get three points a game - even with 1-0 wins.
teedee38 Posted 17 November, 2014 Author Share Posted 17 November, 2014 The Sunderland result may have been a one off, but was it also symbolic showing what our new first team can do, IE did RK made a point of stuffing them, making up for MP's cock up in the cup last year. Not many Clubs can ever quote the best GD in UK so why not shout about it.............. C O Y R
