whelk Posted 14 November, 2014 Share Posted 14 November, 2014 Has anyone done any real analysis on the atmospheric pressure when we win, lose or draw? Would be about as relevant. Sky, and other broadcasters, mostly pick the games featuring their favoured 'Big Clubs' so Saints' games on TV have mostly been when playing against Man City, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, etc and usually away. If the form book has changed so that Saints are the form team when the games are broadcast, the results are more likely to reflect that. Remember as well, that TV cameras are there for every Premier League game, so all that changes from being shown live is the time of KO. Never heard any songs about us being sh1t at different atmospheric conditions. Is stating the bleeding obvious your forte? Although I thought must have been reflection from lenses but you have disproved this by highlighting it can't be the position of cameras. Oh simple we are playing better teams
kwsaint Posted 14 November, 2014 Share Posted 14 November, 2014 In that case, I'm going for 11. Would be possible if we won all 4 games and then were deducted 1 point for fielding an ineligible player. This is in some cases as is shown in this article: http://www.footballsite.co.uk/Statistics/Articles/DidYouKnow29.htm
VectisSaint Posted 14 November, 2014 Share Posted 14 November, 2014 Why are people making predictions on a predication thread?
Window Cleaner Posted 14 November, 2014 Share Posted 14 November, 2014 No predictions but I'd be inclined to fancy our chances against Arsenal. Midweek sandwiched between potential maulings against West Brom and Stoke they'll be lucky to have a team to put out.
Dalek2003 Posted 8 December, 2014 Share Posted 8 December, 2014 Villa draw City loss Arsenal loss Utd Draw Will nudge us up to 27 points. Not bad, we need to win another 4 or 5 games for absolute safety. Nearly right. Pity we did not draw tonight.
EBS1980 Posted 8 December, 2014 Share Posted 8 December, 2014 DLLL ...Sorry. Very much hope I'm wrong. Unfortunately not. On the whole, should have got something from Villa Arsenal and Man U, but alas we didn't. I'd have taken 5th after 15 games at start of the season! CB Fry Posted 8 December, 2014 Share Posted 8 December, 2014 Pretty sure there are forum experts convinced that losing all our games against the big boys is part of the masterplan to finish top four, so nothing to worry about here at all. It's called "doing an Arsenal" apparently. And yes I know it avoids the fact that Arsenal don't have to play Arsenal so that's them six points better off than us already. But don't ruin it. It will definitely work. Top four here we come.
SuperMikey Posted 8 December, 2014 Share Posted 8 December, 2014 Villa W City D Arsenal D Utd W When I looked at the fixture list at the start of the season I don't think I ever could have imagined predicting those results for us! These games will be tough but December is a tough month for us anyway with all the games and a couple of potential banana skins along the way. Personally I think we'll be ok for these 4 though - Villa are shocking atm (although they should've beaten an equally shocking Spurs), City are hit and miss right now, Arsenal is one I am quite worried about but think we have the character to get a decent result, and the Utd game really depends on who they have fit at the time! Either way it'll be an interesting next period leading up to the christmas run-in. Well.
