benjii Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Rupert is at pitch side again:rolleyes: Wonder if he's joining Gasmi in the stands for the second half?.... probably not a very clever plan.
Legod Third Coming Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Rupert is at pitch side again:rolleyes: No 45. Coming on with ten to go....
saintjay77 Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Well, good news from Fratton anyway. lol!!! See you next season skates! Can you imagine what defoe and crouch will do to our defence?
Arizona Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Well, good news from Fratton anyway. lol!!! See you next season skates! Are they relegating Prem teams to L1 now then? Harsh IMO.
martin_au Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 please do not ruin my boxing day after such a great pleasure watching the skates
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Are they relegating Prem teams to L1 now then? Harsh IMO. Financial irregularities perhaps;)
saintjay77 Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Wonder if he's joining Gasmi in the stands for the second half?.... probably not a very clever plan. Bugger I should have got a sitter and gone just for the chance of joining in on the public kicking he would have got.
benjii Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 First reference of the day on the radio to Gillet's height. "Pint sized"
lamanga Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Cow fark, that was close. Aftys all. Come on you Saints
lamanga Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 jeez somebody just pumped up the volume then, gave me the sheets
Arizona Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 I've only just seen the team. DMG, Smith, Gillett, Gobern... f**k me that's a sh*t line-up.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Saints 1st corner comes to nothing Saints in "corner comes to nothing shocker"
ericofarabia Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Well, good news from Fratton anyway. lol!!! See you next season skates! Most optimistic post of the day so far .... assuming we will still be in Chumpionshiite and not League 1 :smt044 I will be interested to hear the reasoning behind this team selection (sweepstake/lucky dip system maybe ). Not only the team selection but lack of experience on the bench as well. Holmes and Smith are probably not fully fit and not likely to last 90 mins. ... and I'll flinch at every tackle Lancashire makes  Don't tell me we are resting players for the Reading match, this game is probably more winnable than the Reading game bearing in mind our crap home form
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 I've only just seen the team. DMG, Smith, Gillett, Gobern... f**k me that's a sh*t line-up. Get behind the team FFS... Jan says we are after the points.......:smt044
Under Weststand Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Oh comes to nothing again what a surprise
Minsk Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 My mate reckons Gasmi is in the away end with some bit of skirt! How funny. How or(gasmi)c! In case anyone is joing us late, the team/bench for today is: Saints: Davis, James, Cork, Lancashire, Skacel, Gillett, Gobern, Smith, Holmes, Surman, McGoldrick. Subs: Forecast, Mills, Pearce, McLaggon, Paterson

Ensuring no inconvienient injuries to slow up the deals...
benjii Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Saints in "corner comes to nothing shocker" TBF I can think of at least 3 goals we've scored direct from corners this season which is probably not a bad return.
Barry the Badger Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 January sell up of course.. Ensuring no inconvienient injuries to slow up the deals... How do you explain that Surman is playing then? Down negative man.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 TBF I can think of at least 3 goals we've scored direct from corners this season which is probably not a bad return. Two of those from someone who does not even make the bench.
saintjay77 Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 TBF I can think of at least 3 goals we've scored direct from corners this season which is probably not a bad return. out of how many chances though? Mind you thats the same for all our efforts. lots of chances and no end product.
saint lard Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Merrington confirms there was a dressing room bust up,hence Wotton has been shipped out to Brighton. How he knows for sure, i cannot confirm.

As I posted on the build-up thread, there are only 4 players in our 16 (including Jack Cork) with more than seasons worth of experience in the CCC. And, 8 of today's 16 played for our reserves against Exeter reserves on Monday (in which we cruised to a 3-2 win, FFS!)
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 How do you explain that Surman is playing then? Down negative man. Negative...nah....realist. As far as Surman goes well...who knows, maybe deal already signed awaiting January...
Arizona Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Man City 1-0 Up. Moves the Skates to within 3 points of the drop zone if it stays like that.
lamanga Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 come on Southampton super yoof, make Jan a happier man
benjii Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Two of those from someone who does not even make the bench. Who's that? Perry? That's at least 4 then because Pearce has two as well.
Minsk Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Two of those from someone who does not even make the bench. I thought 2 of those were by Pearce, who IS on the bench?
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Merrington confirms there was a dressing room bust up,hence Wotton has been shipped out to Brighton. How he knows for sure, i cannot confirm. I guess some of the players told Portvliet what we all know.. That he doesn`t have a ****in` clue....
Under Weststand Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Another corner Saints deflected over another corner
