wessex saint Posted 7 November, 2014 Share Posted 7 November, 2014 My boss is considering doing a cheap corporate package thingy at Saints early next year. However, he is a skinflint and the only financial option he would stretch to is the saints Bar. The trouble is it doesn't really tell you that much in the online brochure other than you get to use a cash bar! Is the bar part of the Itchen corporate facilities - and is it worth the money for the experience? It sounds to me as though we'd be better off having a few jars in a boozer then just going to the game with normal tickets? Anyone been and got any views? Clapham Saint Posted 7 November, 2014 Share Posted 7 November, 2014 It's just a bar that happens to be located at the ground. Nothing special other than it has the shortest walk from the bar to your seat. Personally I'd save my money and spend it on beer.
suewhistle Posted 7 November, 2014 Share Posted 7 November, 2014 ... and doubtless it won't have cask-conditioned beers for afficionados of the same. Seats, kitty at bar in local pub and taxi to the ground should do it..
Mallagroth Posted 7 November, 2014 Share Posted 7 November, 2014 Some people get confused between the saints bar and the dell bar. The dell bar is on the ground floor in the middle of the Kingsland and costs a tenner to get a season ticket for. The Saints bar is a slightly nicer hospitality bar that I believe has its own bank of hospitality seats up in the Itchen stand.

You can arrive, order drinks and settle in with your group, not have to worry about leaving again to get to the ground. Better seats than most too. This is what was thinking of so maybe I have done it a disservice. Apologies. Whilst there is noting wrong with the Dell bar it certainly isn't worth spending money on membership. Never been to the Saints bar so it turns out that my opinion is irrelevant.
wessex saint Posted 7 November, 2014 Author Share Posted 7 November, 2014 Cheers all.. Will let the boss make their choice. Meanwhile I'll be there in my normal seat in the kingsland!
The Cat Posted 7 November, 2014 Share Posted 7 November, 2014 People seem to mainly join the Dell Bar because you're allowed out at half time whch means the possibility of sneaking in a quick fag.
