View From The Top Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Silly as it is, that made me well up.
pap Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Superb. Great to see MLT back in official material. Lambert is great too.
trousers Posted 4 November, 2014 Author Posted 4 November, 2014 Silly as it is, that made me well up. Likewise. I keep trying to tell myself "it's only football" but that was stirring stuff.
Smirking_Saint Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Its a pretty well worked video tbh Yes its pr bull****, but watching that makes you realise what a special club we have
trousers Posted 4 November, 2014 Author Posted 4 November, 2014 Good watch. Rickie. And Lallana notable by his absence.....
pap Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Rickie. He'll be back. Maybe not as a player, although I'd have him back in a flash if Liverpool wanted rid.
Lorne Malvo Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Targett seems a bit slow in the head. good to hear MLT words also though.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Very well done. Staplewood opens tomorrow and I'm lucky enough to be attending as guest of José Fonte. One of 5 lucky fans!

trousers Posted 4 November, 2014 Author Posted 4 November, 2014 Morgan seems to have done a complete 360 degree turn. Would he have agreed to appear on this if his mind was still partly elsewhere?
igsey Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Really interesting to see who they got back in/agreed to be interviewed for this, especially Rickie and the lack of Lallana/Shaw/Chambers. Also great to see Gareth Bale singing our praises despite leaving so long ago.
Matthew Le God Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Mmmm announcement tomorrow? They have invited lots of media to the training ground for the official opening of the training ground upgrade.
Ulrich van Gobbel Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Brilliant stuff! More praise from the media later in the week no doubt..
pap Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Morgan seems to have done a complete 360 degree turn. Would he have agreed to appear on this if his mind was still partly elsewhere? He would have agreed under the terms of the "play nice and we'll let you move" agreement that is probably in place. I like your optimism, but don't get your hopes up. It only leads to millions in the bank and quality replacements.
Toon Saint Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Kate Terry from Apple starting to show her potential.
Halo Stickman Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Silly as it is, that made me well up. Me too.
Gemmel Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Has Bale developed one of those "Joey Barton" type accents :) :)
The9 Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Has Bale developed one of those "Joey Barton" type accents :) :) If Joey Barton was from Cardiff, yes.
Saint Rees Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 It's a shame about Lallana, if he didn't leave on such bad terms I reckon he'd have been a part of this. Even Shaw and Chambers had little clips in there, wonder if his name is on that wall...
Sour Mash Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 They have invited lots of media to the training ground for the official opening of the training ground upgrade. I think as part of the opening, they'll confirm the training ground will be "Marcus Liebherr Academy" or something like that.
doggface Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Very good, media department has come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of years.
trousers Posted 4 November, 2014 Author Posted 4 November, 2014 I think as part of the opening, they'll confirm the training ground will be "Marcus Liebherr Academy" or something like that. *** pedantry klaxon *** I reckon they'll go for "Markus" rather than "Marcus"....
angelman Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Kate Terry from Apple starting to show her potential. Presume it must be her. I quite like these productions, and let's face it, this one was pretty damn well produced.
hypochondriac Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Really interesting to see who they got back in/agreed to be interviewed for this, especially Rickie and the lack of Lallana/Shaw/Chambers. Also great to see Gareth Bale singing our praises despite leaving so long ago. No chamberlain either. I heard he left in rather acrimonious circumstances.
doddisalegend Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Very well done. Staplewood opens tomorrow and I'm lucky enough to be attending as guest of José Fonte. One of 5 lucky fans! If we lose the next game I blaming you for taking Jose away from his training........................................................................................
KingdomCome Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Can't watch it just now but must be good to get such a unanimous response on here. I too hope that the Markus Liebherr academy is unveiled tomorrow.

I too hope that the Markus Liebherr academy is unveiled tomorrow. It's an excellent video. Much better than any of the cringeworthy stuff they have produced in the past. The media department has produced interesting and worthwhile videos recently- long may it continue.
doddisalegend Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Watching this I'm really hoping Gareth (still a saint at heart) Bale plays tonight against Liverpool and puts five past them. Though it would be nice if Rickie (still one of us) Lambert scores a consolation goal for Liverpool.

Jack Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Targett seems a bit slow in the head. To be fair Rickie struggled to get his words in the right order, didn't stop him being a brilliant and clever footballer.

richard Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Silly as it is, that made me well up. I was fine until Rickie said his last bit. Always going to be a Saints legend for me.
Professor Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Even Rupert would be proud of the PR. Excellent video and very nice to see MLT talking about 'our' club.
saintmatt Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 He would have agreed under the terms of the "play nice and we'll let you move" agreement that is probably in place. I like your optimism, but don't get your hopes up. It only leads to millions in the bank and quality replacements. Haha!
Asaint4ever Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Watched it 5 times now and have the biggest grin ever!
eshersaint25 Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Very good, media department has come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of years. Meanwhile at West Brom...
jasonb Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Great video. Looking forward to the exposure tomorrows official opening will hopefully generate. Great to see the former players contributing to this piece too. Other clubs do it so well so its good to see Saints once again embracing the past.
cellone Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 To all you pussies welling up sniff it didn't ahem catch gulp me out. Get a hold of your selves. Can someone give me a cuddle.
buctootim Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 (edited) Everybody seemed happy and looking back with fondness - except RL who seemed mournful. Edited 4 November, 2014 by buctootim
Ohio Saint Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Impressed that Gareth Bale gave us the time and respect to be honest, what with being such a mega star these days. Not knocking RL at all, but not really sure why he was in this video, what with not being a youth player and all.
