Ooooo Mariaaan Posted 2 November, 2014 Posted 2 November, 2014 When does the number of yellows needed for a suspension rise? We currently have Pelle on 4 and Schneiderlin on 3.
Shroppie Posted 2 November, 2014 Posted 2 November, 2014 End of December. Then there's a suspension for 10 by the end of April.
Saint Charlie Posted 2 November, 2014 Posted 2 November, 2014 Pelle will get another yellow before end of Dec and highly likely Morgan will pick up two by then. If possible would be best to get bans in the busy Xmas period when they might need a rest anyway. Five yellows is pretty easy for a central midfielder to accumulate in todays game but Pelle has been silly with at least a couple of his in the Lge Cup.

So you can't just say ''He will get another yellow''. It's just annoying to read you latch onto all the potentially bad news and speak with such certainty.
Batman Posted 2 November, 2014 Posted 2 November, 2014 Pelle is bound to get one and miss one of the games against the big boys. if he does, its his own fault after going into the crowd at stoke. I dont agree with the rule but it is a clear one
Goatboy Posted 2 November, 2014 Posted 2 November, 2014 All clubs will pick up suspensions and injuries. Koeman has an excellent record of adapting and coping.

I may have none tomorrow morning.

Goatboy Posted 2 November, 2014 Posted 2 November, 2014 (edited) bet you do in the next 3 days though More than likely! To be fair I think Pelle is the one player we will struggle to replace like for like but injuries and suspensions are a part of the game and I trust our manager and team to find a way to cope during the testing times ahead. 6 points from the next 2 games will lift a huge amount of pressure from the following three fixtures. I dont agree with the rule but it is a clear one On the other hand, as he seems to have picked some up for rather silly reasons, perhaps he can manage to avoid any for a bit. It's not as if he's a defender sometimes having to make risky challenges. Maybe RK needs to gave a quiet word

Just quite likely given playing styles and the fact he plays 90mins every week. There must be 10 matches before the cut off.

Saint Charlie the way you say things you make it seem too negative all the time. Be happy!

paulwantsapint Posted 2 November, 2014 Posted 2 November, 2014 Seem to remember MLT being 1 booking away from suspension Xmas 94 then going months without any Similar type of bookings mainly dissent Any idea how long to sam gallagher is back
Faz Posted 2 November, 2014 Posted 2 November, 2014 Thanks. Hope Jay Rod is back fairly soon for when the inevitable happens then! According to Physio Room, J-Rod and JWP are due back 21st Dec. No return date for Sam Gallagher.
dobbo Posted 2 November, 2014 Posted 2 November, 2014 Morgan was close to suspension last year wasn't he before Christmas and didn't get another before it rose to requiring 10. Maybe wrong but sure that's what I remember.
Poggs Posted 2 November, 2014 Posted 2 November, 2014 Expect when J-Rod returns he will probably only have short outings to begin with.
Dr Who? Posted 2 November, 2014 Posted 2 November, 2014 Forgot about J-Rod. I hope he comes back soon. I would hate him to miss out on a premier league winners medal.

david in sweden Posted 3 November, 2014 Posted 3 November, 2014 Question: When a player collects 5 yellows - does the ban start from the next game, or from a specified date ..... like Jan. 1st.?

Lets B Avenue Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Got suspended didn't he ? Everton game perhaps. Correct. He picked up a needless booking at Cardiff, when we were 3 up and coasting.
