I probably keep up with more media than most.

The 9 points clear of Chelsea shít is disrespectful to both us and the maxim "the league don't lie". It is borne of a big club bias; if United were in our shoes on Saturday, Chelsea would be "four points clear of United". Simple as.

That said, while there have been very few pundits to stick their neck on the line for top four qualification, our ongoing knack of winning games has made the punditry a lot less patronising, although how much of that is down to self-preservation, I don't know. We've shown most of the punditry world up with our league position. These are people that are paid because they supposedly know what they're talking about, repeatedly having to eat humble pie and admit they were wrong.

If we're still there or thereabouts at the end of the season, expect a huge disturbance in the force, as if a billion Alan Hansens had suddenly cried out "you can't win anything with kids". Never did his career any harm, though :)

Taking into account the event of Niel Armstrong walking on Everest, and Edmund Hillary climbing the moon, you all seem to forget that Edwin Aldrin and Tenzing Norgay were there and did it as well.

That's what we are, the also rans of the football league. Second in League 1, second in the Championship, and now doomed to end the season, it looks like, as the also ran Seconds in the premiership.

Who'd have thunk it.
