A one party state was the first thing I thought when I saw that too.....Well done Scots, you hate the English so much you're prepared to throw away democracy and take part in a one party state.

Anyhow, whaddya mean "who's been blaming Labour solely for the deficit and crash" The Conservatives and Lib Dems EVERY TIME they or their supporters make a soundbyte they do! jesus.

My recollection of this in the past is that no one comes out right wing

https://www.politicalcompass.org/yourpoliticalcompass?ec=-5.38&soc=-4.51

Its looking that way, especially when you compare posters positions with the supposed placing of the political parties. All the major parties are more right than all the saintsweb posters. Thats a bit hard to believe.

It's interesting where posters sit , but the party bit is nonsense . DUP as right wing as lib dumbs , really ? I don't believe for one minute I'm more leftie than a pinko Tory party .

Some of those questions are pretty damn extreme. Making the result a bit nonsense.

Economic Left/Right: -5.0

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.26

I'm 5 on the leftie / right scale & 1.33 on the other

Last time someone said that to me, my political compass was the last thing on my mind....

Consider yourself done....

looks like the SNP are going to clean up in Scotland.

I think this will be their 'peak'

Don't tell Torres that.

He thinks the Scottish people from now on will slavishly and obediently vote SNP for the rest of time, regardless of what they do, promises they break or fu ck ups they make. Stick a yellow SNP rosette and a ginger wig on Jimmy Savile's rotting corpse and he'd walk any marginal you care to name.

on the UK front. They seem to get away with little scrutiny down here. I know we can't vote for them but I would like to have seen Milliband, clegg and Cameron take them to task on their policies for the whole of the UK to see. Seeing as they could have an impact on us all.

SNP seem to just shout about more free stuff, dismiss anyone who challenges them and then when actually pressed, just blame 'austerity' and the 'Tory's'...

if Labour are in with them propping them up on a vote by vote basis, they may actually be held into account for something on a wider scale.

Blimey.

Left/Right -10.13

Libertarian -5.33

Nah, I'm not that left wing, I'm a centrist social democrat. In the United States that would probably make me a communist but I am far more Alan Milburn than Dennis Skinner.

Cameron saying that our budget deficit was bigger than Greece, ignoring the fact that our economy is much bigger than theirs. The way he misleads people on complex economic issues is despicable

you make it it is just him...THEY ALL DO IT

even so, he said it was on course to be bigger than greece. for the UK, that is still insane. regardless

It's all about leverage. You should read that Paul Krugman link posted yesterday or the day before. It explains it all well.

He's twisting the facts to suit his case even though the debt is larger now than it ever has been. They've borrowed more in 5 years than all the previous Labour administrations put together.
