Hockey_saint Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 A one party state was the first thing I thought when I saw that too.....Well done Scots, you hate the English so much you're prepared to throw away democracy and take part in a one party state. Anyhow, whaddya mean "who's been blaming Labour solely for the deficit and crash" The Conservatives and Lib Dems EVERY TIME they or their supporters make a soundbyte they do! jesus.
buctootim Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 My recollection of this in the past is that no one comes out right wing https://www.politicalcompass.org/yourpoliticalcompass?ec=-5.38&soc=-4.51 Its looking that way, especially when you compare posters positions with the supposed placing of the political parties. All the major parties are more right than all the saintsweb posters. Thats a bit hard to believe.

Lord Duckhunter Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 I'm 5 on the leftie / right scale & 1.33 on the other
Coxford_lou Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 Some of those questions are pretty damn extreme. Making the result a bit nonsense. Economic Left/Right: -5.0 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.26
Coxford_lou Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 The sex section was crazy. Surely we answered all the same for those questions. We're not born in the 1920s

DUP as right wing as lib dumbs , really ? I don't believe for one minute I'm more leftie than a pinko Tory party .

Coxford_lou Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 I can't imagine my views on sex are similar to yours. Blimey. I thought my views on sex were pretty normal for people from my generation.
Coxford_lou Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 I knew you 2 would get me My politics are usually pretty centre left, and pretty sensible. Some of those questions were not framed in a sensible way, so it's inevitable to the result looks more extreme.
Coxford_lou Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 liberal left wing saints web agenda!!!! Reading this thread. That's not the impression I get. Seriously.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 My politics are usually pretty centre left, and pretty sensible. Some of those questions were not framed in a sensible way, so it's inevitable to the result looks more extreme. Oxymoron alert..

hypochondriac Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 Look at all the extreme lefties being embarrassed by their results. Be proud of who you are.
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 I struggle to imagine what kind of psycho would be further out into the blue territory
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 And yet that's where they put labour and the lib dems! https://www.politicalcompass.org/uk2015

Batman Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 looks like the SNP are going to clean up in Scotland. I think this will be their 'peak'
CB Fry Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 looks like the SNP are going to clean up in Scotland. I think this will be their 'peak' Don't tell Torres that. He thinks the Scottish people from now on will slavishly and obediently vote SNP for the rest of time, regardless of what they do, promises they break or fu ck ups they make. Stick a yellow SNP rosette and a ginger wig on Jimmy Savile's rotting corpse and he'd walk any marginal you care to name.

Stick a yellow SNP rosette and a ginger wig on Jimmy Savile's rotting corpse and he'd walk any marginal you care to name. on the UK front. They seem to get away with little scrutiny down here. I know we can't vote for them but I would like to have seen Milliband, clegg and Cameron take them to task on their policies for the whole of the UK to see. Seeing as they could have an impact on us all. SNP seem to just shout about more free stuff, dismiss anyone who challenges them and then when actually pressed, just blame 'austerity' and the 'Tory's'... if Labour are in with them propping them up on a vote by vote basis, they may actually be held into account for something on a wider scale.
CB Fry Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 Blimey. Left/Right -10.13 Libertarian -5.33 Nah, I'm not that left wing, I'm a centrist social democrat. In the United States that would probably make me a communist but I am far more Alan Milburn than Dennis Skinner.
JackFrost Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 Anyone watching this QT Leader's debate on BBC1 now?
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 Cameron saying that our budget deficit was bigger than Greece, ignoring the fact that our economy is much bigger than theirs. The way he misleads people on complex economic issues is despicable
Batman Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 Cameron saying that our budget deficit was bigger than Greece, ignoring the fact that our economy is much bigger than theirs. The way he misleads people on complex economic issues is despicable you make it it is just him...THEY ALL DO IT even so, he said it was on course to be bigger than greece. for the UK, that is still insane. regardless
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 you make it it is just him...THEY ALL DO IT even so, he said it was on course to be bigger than greece. for the UK, that is still insane. regardless This may well just be my bias but I can't think when labour mislead people like this (under miliband)?
Batman Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 This may well just be my bias but I can't think when labour mislead people like this (under miliband)? I think it is your bias
bridge too far Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 you make it it is just him...THEY ALL DO IT even so, he said it was on course to be bigger than greece. for the UK, that is still insane. regardless It's all about leverage. You should read that Paul Krugman link posted yesterday or the day before. It explains it all well. He's twisting the facts to suit his case even though the debt is larger now than it ever has been. They've borrowed more in 5 years than all the previous Labour administrations put together.

Ex Lion Tamer Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 I think it is your bias But you can't give any examples
Batman Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 But you can't give any examples they are endless, by all parties...jeez
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 But you can't give any examples Cost of living crisis is one.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 That blonde business women not falling for Red Eds flannel ,
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 Cost of living crisis is one. You could argue is hyperbole but it's not an outright lie
Batman Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 milliband getting a very hard time compared to dave
Lighthouse Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 I'm having my own little drinking game. 2 fingers of lager every time one of the leaders says, "let me answer that directly." Cameron coming out of this a lot better than the Ed Miller Band so far.
bridge too far Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 Ed is having a torrid timid At least he's answering the questions rather than falling back on well rehearsed mantras that don't actually address the points raised.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 You could argue is hyperbole but it's not an outright lie Neither is the Greece one. Both misleading.
Batman Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 At least he's answering the questions rather than falling back on well rehearsed mantras that don't actually address the points raised. what, like reverting about 'big business'..... the bias is brilliant
CB Saint Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 At least he's answering the questions rather than falling back on well rehearsed mantras that don't actually address the points raised. Give him time
CB Fry Posted 30 April, 2015 Posted 30 April, 2015 Typical left wing BBC giving Miliband an easy ride.
