I think you're right. If anything, Morgan will look at the summer as a close escape. Going to Spurs isn't a step up in my eyes, maybe in stature and size of club, but they're a poor team and are years and years away from doing anything of note.

We're not as big as Spurs, but as every day passes I think we may be on the brink of something a bit special. The only reason he'd move is for more money, and I don't think he's that sort. At this moment in time it's a poisoned chalice and he'd be gambling with his career.

There's even more to consider about going to Spurs. Sometime soon they are moving temporarily to MK Dons for probably two seasons whilst White Hart Lane is rebuilt.

Some comments on here are a bit of a larf:

Not quite sure what Spuds are supposed to do to placate their fans. On that forum, they seem to think you can knock down a load of warehouses in the middle of London and erect a new stadium in a few months. Of course it would have been best to build the stadium while they were still at WHL, but that isn't going to happen, so no point looking back. So where else, given that their owners have cocked it up, are Spuds supposed to go? The obvious one to ground share with is Arsenal, but then that wasn't ever likely to happen. Or maybe Wembley, but that isn't going to happen either.

His contract is key because if he doesn't sign one then he is forcing us to sell him in the summer. Then it comes down to who will buy and I am sure we would rather sell to Spurs for 15m plus than lose him to Spurs for free the year after.
