Ewell Posted 27 October, 2014 Share Posted 27 October, 2014 Christ! http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/110811 This feels like a lifetime ago. You really realise it when you note that Puncheon scored for MK Dons against us.
Dellman Posted 27 October, 2014 Share Posted 27 October, 2014 Yes, we've lived through a footballing miracle. Off the field credit to Marcus who made it possible, Nicola who drove it and the three managers who each did their part and laid the foundations for the fourth to take it further. And credit to Uncle Les in the bachground, why does he still get stick, he's played a masterclass
Sevvy Posted 27 October, 2014 Share Posted 27 October, 2014 I wonder what odds you would have got on that happening. Shame Markus wasn't here to see this.
Wiggles31 Posted 27 October, 2014 Share Posted 27 October, 2014 What a 5 years it's been. There haven't been many better teams to support in England the last 5 years. It's been majestic.

S-Clarke Posted 27 October, 2014 Share Posted 27 October, 2014 Christ! http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/110811 I remember that game, came away feeling proper chuffed that we'd beaten a really good side....in the grand scheme of things back then! It's been a truly amazing 5 years, just an upward trajectory.
Whitey Grandad Posted 27 October, 2014 Share Posted 27 October, 2014 I enjoyed those divisions. It's interesting to note that we have improved our league position every year since. If that carries on we shall end up champions
ant Posted 27 October, 2014 Share Posted 27 October, 2014 Also worth pointing out that the MK Dons match in 2009 was our fourth consecutive league win. Prior to that run we had 1 win from the first 10 games of the season!
Colinjb Posted 28 October, 2014 Share Posted 28 October, 2014 Christ! http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/110811 Kelvin beaten at the near post? Never! Just an incredible journey we have been on.
shurlock Posted 28 October, 2014 Share Posted 28 October, 2014 According to mboard lore, Norwich's ascent up the leagues is as, if not more impressive.
CB Fry Posted 28 October, 2014 Share Posted 28 October, 2014 According to mboard lore, Norwich's ascent up the leagues is as, if not more impressive. Well, they won L1 and we didn't, so it's a fair point. Also don't think Norwich had the funds to spend £2m and a four year contract on a striker to use for only six months and never play again. After our respective first seasons back in the Prem things diverge but fortunately no one in m-board history has ever claimed Norwich have had a comparable Prem record to us, so that's all right then. redmotorstone Posted 28 October, 2014 Share Posted 28 October, 2014 This is the funny part - Have we really bought BIG over those 5 years? To me, the majority of the reason we are where we are now is a succession of 3 very good managers and a board to be proud of. It's only this year we have really spent. Pedro Posted 28 October, 2014 Share Posted 28 October, 2014 Dean Hammond scored for us, he should get a good reception at our next home again against Leicester.
