I remember that game, came away feeling proper chuffed that we'd beaten a really good side....in the grand scheme of things back then! It's been a truly amazing 5 years, just an upward trajectory.

Also worth pointing out that the MK Dons match in 2009 was our fourth consecutive league win. Prior to that run we had 1 win from the first 10 games of the season!

Well, they won L1 and we didn't, so it's a fair point. Also don't think Norwich had the funds to spend £2m and a four year contract on a striker to use for only six months and never play again.

 

After our respective first seasons back in the Prem things diverge but fortunately no one in m-board history has ever claimed Norwich have had a comparable Prem record to us, so that's all right then.

This is the funny part - Have we really bought BIG over those 5 years? To me, the majority of the reason we are where we are now is a succession of 3 very good managers and a board to be proud of.
