croydonsaint Posted 18 October, 2014 Posted 18 October, 2014 To Pochettino to Lallana to Lovren to Lambert to Chambers to Shaw for leaving because by doing so they have enabled us to make another big step forward. We would never have won a game like this 8 nil with them in the team in a million years. Fantastic
Kingsland Red Posted 18 October, 2014 Posted 18 October, 2014 It did seem today that the 'Koeman' way is the 'Poch' way without the hesitation and going backwards to get forwards - instead of four passes to get across the field one will do. Loved the way RK kept waving the team forward in the second half.
croydonsaint Posted 18 October, 2014 Author Posted 18 October, 2014 I have loved the way we have totally dominated some teams this season. Obviously today but also Newcastle and west ham. Have we been lucky that these teams just gave totally inept displays and let us win. I do not think so. I am almost certainly caught up in the brilliant start to the season but could 5 th be possible. Could we end up above Spurs. Surely not but if we carry on like this and Rodrigues to come back. Let me predict that by the end of the season everyone will see why we bought Long because we started to see why today.

cellone Posted 18 October, 2014 Posted 18 October, 2014 Get it fooorrrwaaarrrddd! Think we can all agree he is out of his depth.
Dalek2003 Posted 18 October, 2014 Posted 18 October, 2014 All good comments. Can't see J Rod back until about April.
Mr Saints Posted 18 October, 2014 Posted 18 October, 2014 Poch would have shut up shop at 3 nil and killed the game which is fine but today was a different style and a different level.
dubai_phil Posted 18 October, 2014 Posted 18 October, 2014 #onlygoodenoughtogetusto8thplace Good riddance to them and God bless the team that had recruited their replacements. And no doubt the replacements to those that we will lose in the summer. At least will be good to see Pelle Tadic & Morgan playing CL football next season. With us. As the Daily Mirror survey asked. Why not?
sammysaint Posted 19 October, 2014 Posted 19 October, 2014 The main difference this season is the pace we have out wide and allowing the CMs to go forward more. We have found replacements that are better or as good as we had and stronger depth with plenty of pace which is what we lacked last season, I do thank the whole board Les KL and RK, for getting great money for them and bringing in the best manager we have ever hired, and hopefully carrys on his good management and becomes one of our best managers ever, or the best. Really think we can finish 7th this year, Lorven Lallana (wont inc Lambo) and Poch will all look silly leaving us for lack of ambition, yet there clubs are gonna have worse seasons then the year before, Well Liverpool definitely wont be finishing top 2 and top 3 would be a push if they lose today, as I see UTD going on a massive run.
beatlesaint Posted 19 October, 2014 Posted 19 October, 2014 They appear to have all done us a favour by leaving. Who would have thought it back in Black July !!

I will only start to allow myself to dream of a top 10 finish when we have the magic 40 points. Things can change very rapidly in football, as our manager said himself. Our first goal must always be safety.

Saint_Tony Posted 19 October, 2014 Posted 19 October, 2014 It's about having staff and players who actually give a ****. RoKo has shown far more passion for the job and towards the fans than MP ever did

Important that the club keeps its feet on the ground and I am sure that is the message to the players. Objective 1 = safety. Objective 2 = push up the league.

Dalek2003 Posted 19 October, 2014 Posted 19 October, 2014 Surely objective 2 leads to objective 1? Depends on what is your priority.
