Not just saints fans are saying this. Even journos are starting to say it as well as other fans what on earth are the national coaches doing?

Chambers wasn't even an original call up, which makes it even more bizarre - as it suggests Clyne was chosen before him in the squad setup anyway. Losing in the CL obviously means more.

It's not like England are over loaded with right backs? The first half today he was completely head and shoulders above what he was playing against.

He was not even picked originally yet played both games in full and against 2 very easy teams, clyne did not get a single minute just so sad really

It got to the point where fans on other clubs were calling for him to start ahead of Chambers in the last set of internationals. He's going to be very difficult to hold onto next Summer.

Under Weststand Posted 18 October, 2014 Posted 18 October, 2014 It really was bizarre from Woy. To pick Chambers ahead of Clyne after being drafted in from the under 21's was bad enough. Then to stick with Chambers after such a tragic performance against San-Marino was appalling. Clyne is so much better going forward than Chambers, it's frankly beyond me why he wasn't played. Wake the f**k up Hodgson, " CLYNE IS YOUR BEST OPTION AT RIGHT BACK". End of.

Maybe the wise owl that is RH, is feeling guilty that by recognising our players and giving them international caps, they get tapped up by the likes of Stevie G et al; get poached by one of the big clubs for a ridiculous transfer and generally then get to either sit on the subs bench or get slated by the Liverpool fans and he doesn't want that fate to befall Clyne

This starting a heated debate with Robbie Savage batting for young Nathaniel.
Gis Posted 18 October, 2014 Posted 18 October, 2014 My MoM today, although looking through the goals on reflection I probably got that wrong, Dusin was unbelievable. Anyhow back to Clyne. He had a great match and I think the call up to the last England squad will be the turning point that takes him to a better level. Seems like he had extra belief today and I would imagine one of the coaches has had a bit of a heart to heart and been pretty clear about what he needs to do break into the England team. What a pair of full backs we have!
