I have been watching Saints since the mid 50's and I can honestly say that I MLT got more pleasure from watching him play than any other player....and there have been some some great ones! Without doubt my favourite Saints players by a mile.

It's somewhat disturbing that I woke up, noticed the date and my first thought was 'ah it's MLT's birthday'.

Also a thoroughly decent guy. He dragged down to Verwood to surprise a friends kid on his 18th birthday, just because the kids mum had basically doorstepped him and asked. Stayed a couple of hours chatting, Ben has never forgotten it. Top, top bloke, and loyalty to the club that is almost unheard of in todays game.
