Scudamore Posted 14 August, 2008 Author Share Posted 14 August, 2008 https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/index.jsp?targetPage=reservationOnHomepage.jsp Personal experience? I could reel off the name of about five hire car companies... Doesn't necessarily mean they're any good or indeed nice and cheap!

Scummer Posted 14 August, 2008 Share Posted 14 August, 2008 How far are you going, how many people does it need to carry, etc etc?
mdearlove Posted 14 August, 2008 Share Posted 14 August, 2008 Never had any issue with any recognised car rental company - Use Hertz regularly for work, used Europcar, Avis, Alamo, National, Budget - all fine. Where are you renting? If in Europe then Holiday Autos can have good rates at the normal holiday places. I have booked through Ebookers and expedia previously too. I usually book the cheapest for wherever I am heading - as long as its with one of the big companies mentioned above.

AwaySaint1 Posted 14 August, 2008 Share Posted 14 August, 2008 I always use "Holiday autos"(They are owned by lastminute.com),they are the cheapest and the car more often than not is from Hertz
Weston Super Saint Posted 14 August, 2008 Share Posted 14 August, 2008 Can you not test drive a car for the weekend? You'd only have to pay for the fuel then
