simo Posted 5 October, 2014 Share Posted 5 October, 2014 Just to remind everyone who's a bit down about today's result , Stoke Sunderland Hull and Leicester are all very winnable imo !
Saints foreva Posted 5 October, 2014 Share Posted 5 October, 2014 Stoke and Sunderland seem a bit of a bogey side since we've won promotion. Played 8 and won 0 in the league.

We have got used to winning. Spuds game will bring us down to reality. We will have to scrap it out this season to pass the 40 point mark.
Dr Who? Posted 5 October, 2014 Share Posted 5 October, 2014 Time to end the jinks sides I think. We have great games until the end of November.... If only football was plated on paper!

Remember when you said in our promotion season that the aim was to finish 17th. You only changed your view once it was mathematically impossible to finish 17th which was about 3 months before the end of the season. Your comment was ridiculous then and yours now is just as ridiculous.

Saint_Tony Posted 5 October, 2014 Share Posted 5 October, 2014 Let's not get ahead of ourselves, time and time again we come unstuck against these sorts of teams. They are all beatable, but are all capable of doing the same to is. 7 points would be a reasonable return, 6 should be the minimum expectation. We also haven't lost to Stoke since promotion (in the league) P 4 D 4.

cellone Posted 5 October, 2014 Share Posted 5 October, 2014 I know but that's not making it any better. What do you do when you want to say something that doesn't fit in with the persona? That's why I asked about a second account. For me it would be mind numbing to stick to Hoddle, 17th, relegation an 40 pts.
Whitey Grandad Posted 5 October, 2014 Share Posted 5 October, 2014 I am the original Dalek, before 2003 simply Dalek. Is 2003 the number of times you've mentioned Hoddle or the number of times you've mentioned relegation?

Wiggles31 Posted 6 October, 2014 Share Posted 6 October, 2014 Sunderland - draw Stoke - win Hull - lose Leceister - win 7 points to put us on 20 only 11 games into the season.
MarkSFC Posted 6 October, 2014 Share Posted 6 October, 2014 The start has been really good and at this rate we are on target for 70 plus points. Of course we still have 9 games against City, Arse, Chelsea, Utd and Liverpool, so the ratio may well drop, but you never know!! I think the target should be 60 points so these 5 games v Sun, Stoke, Hull, Leicester and Villa need to glean 11-12 points probably. Get them in the bag and suddenly the run against the top boys becomes relatively pressure free! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
