Lets B Avenue Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Guh, Chambers doesn't even play right back any more. Is he there on his form for Saints? Should be Clyne playing on merit. "Last 5 games for Arsenal" according to Dull & Duller on ITV. Strange, as I saw him play centre half against us 2 weeks ago.
SNSUN Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Wow, England actually scored. This is still woeful.
angelman Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Guh, Chambers doesn't even play right back any more. Apart from 4 out of the last 5 games for Arsenal. EDIT - been posted, same source as well so might be complete bollhocks
ART Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 How can a International Break for a European Qualifier be called a waste of time?
doddisalegend Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Would I be alone in thinking that the opening 12 minutes have been very boring? No doubt we'll score as soon as this gets posted! But even then, it's still not very exciting. Pretty much sums up England games for the last 5 years Roy has England playing turgid **** all the time.
angelman Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Not sure who it was on the radio today, maybe Alan Brazil, who said that the whole qualifying for Euro16 is a farce. The likes of San Marino should go through a pre qualifying round. The whole thing is unexciting and predictable. More idiocy from those running (ruining) football.

Not sure I agree I don't see why a country shouldn't be allowed to participate because they are a tiny country with few resources. I mean where does it end Scotland are **** so are Wales...........
farawaysaint Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Close from San Marino! Come on San Marino! My God England
BotleySaint Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 If San Marino score it'll be historic. Not scored away since 2001 I think I read?
SNSUN Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 If San Marino score it'll be historic. Not scored away since 2001 I think I read? I wonder who their penalty taker is? Worth a quid I reckon!
BotleySaint Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 I wonder who their penalty taker is? Worth a quid I reckon! Selva would surely take it to boost his record 8 international goals
angelman Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Surely Lallana for one of the CBs? There's just no point playing defensive players when there's nothing to do. Strikeforce have been awful so far, as has Sterling but no-one ever mentions his bad games. Or Wishere. Can't understand what he does. He scored quite a good team goal last season and now seems to be an automatic pick.
SNSUN Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Great save San Marino keeper. Penalty now to England. Another set piece chance for England.
angelman Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 What a dire 1st half..... Clyne vs Chambers. I might well have my Saint's tinted glasses on, but I do feel that Clyne is far more aggressive going forward. Chambers is passing back too much and not running their defender with the ball. He does seem to be taking up very advanced positions, but a) he hasn't been effective doing it and b) he seems to be getting in the way of others and/or not really knowing where to go.

And as with last season he still can't beat a man AND get a good cross in like Clyne!
SNSUN Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 All I hope is now the crap first half is out the way, we bring on Clyne and look much better and score 10 goals. :-)
trousers Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 What's the betting that Clyne will get 3 minutes at the end of the game...?
SNSUN Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 What's the betting that Clyne will get 3 minutes at the end of the game...? looks like it as Woy has just made 2 substitutions. Lallana and Chamberlain on. Saints academy now well represented.
BotleySaint Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 looks like it as Woy has just made 2 substitutions. Lallana and Chamberlain on. Saints academy now well represented. I'd say it's likely he won't get on today. Rooney will go off for Lambert later on.
SNSUN Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Lallana already looking more dangerous than any of the England players did in the first half. Welbeck scores.
angelman Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 What ever the score is, it will flatter us. Can't understand why Wilshere gets picked ahead of Lallana.
SuperMikey Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 What ever the score is, it will flatter us. Can't understand why Wilshere gets picked ahead of Lallana. Because they play different positions and have completely different styles. Plus, Wilshere can play for more than 60 minutes.
angelman Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Because they play different positions and have completely different styles. Plus, Wilshere can play for more than 60 minutes. He may well play in a different position but as he does so badly in it, might as well not have him. And Lallana does play more than 60 minutes. The average time he played per game in the last 2 seasons was over 81 and 84.
BotleySaint Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 That amuses me probably more than it should.
SNSUN Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Simoncini, their keeper has had quite a good game by San Marino standards. lallana has had a goal wrongly ruled out lol
Leicestersaint Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 I hope Clyne at least gets on for his first cap.
SaintRobbie Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Lol at Lallana. Even the international officials hate him!
Batman Posted 9 October, 2014 Author Posted 9 October, 2014 only been watching the last 15 mins what an horrendous game townsend...FML
BotleySaint Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Townsend gets on. Poor Clyne. Maybe next game...
SNSUN Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Dross dross dross Townsend on for Welbeck. No Clyne today.
simo Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 And now the woeful Town send is on , that's it I'm done!
trousers Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 only been watching the last 15 mins what an horrendous game And you've been watching the better part of the game....that's how bad the first half was
Batman Posted 9 October, 2014 Author Posted 9 October, 2014 you watch roy come out and say how wonderful the performance was
SNSUN Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Another stray pass from Chambers. At least Andy Townsend has spotted it. Meanwhile his namesake Andros does his usual trick of cutting inside and hammering it towards goal.
BotleySaint Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Sloppy from Chambers. Hasn't had a great night.
SNSUN Posted 9 October, 2014 Posted 9 October, 2014 Chance for San Marino! It'd be nice for them to get a consolation goal!
