spyinthesky Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 With the Spurs game looming, anyone know what happened to our 'Record breaking' ex stopper this season? Seems that Chelmsford City has dispensed with his services this year.
S-Clarke Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 He was released last summer I think, after his ridiculous 5 year contract. He's now on loan at Dartford town from Chelmsford, even they can't find a space for him. He was never a proper full time pro to be honest, just a part time pub player who somehow happened to find himself at a resurgent club. Lucky is one word for it!
Minty Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Not even sure he's still at Dartford... that was only a one month loan I believe?
S-Clarke Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Not even sure he's still at Dartford... that was only a one month loan I believe? Oh well, probably now a pub keeper then!
SuperSAINT Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 I hate Tommy Forecast threads, primarily because it makes me re-live the whole ordeal all over again! What a shocker it was (and still is!)
Minty Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 You have to learn to laugh at things like this, Ali Dia, Craig Maskell, Perry Groves, etc... Makes us even more grateful for the good signings.
Whitey Grandad Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Oh well, probably now a pub keeper then! He'll drop it.

Dartford was last season, and only a month. He went back toChelmsford and was then released. Not showing up anywhere this season. Reality bites.
once_bitterne Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 I actually spoke to Tommy last week. I said 'if you can just drop me at the corner mate, that'll be fine.'
September Saint Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Ali Dia played for Saints in a PL game and, allegedly, came close to scoring.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 You have to learn to laugh at things like this, Ali Dia, Craig Maskell, Perry Groves, etc... Makes us even more grateful for the good signings. Bit harsh on Craig Maskell Minty - he had a decent career and we signed him twice. Not in the same league as Forecast or Dia.
SNSUN Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 What was Tommy's wage with us? I just wonder whether the lucky blighter need ever work again had he saved wisely...
david in sweden Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 the most painful part of this was ...Spuds insistance that TF was a future England prospect and cost us a further chunk out of the measly Bale fee to get him and give him an overpaid 5 yr. contract. They saw us coming and it must have been a standing joke in their Booardroom for ages, when they cut back our outstanding payment when we were short of cash in 2009. We were well and truly conned.
SuperMikey Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 What was Tommy's wage with us? I just wonder whether the lucky blighter need ever work again had he saved wisely... It was something approaching £5k a week I believe - apparently he didn't want to drop his wages from Spurs when he signed for us. It doesn't sound like much but for a player who never made a single senior appearance for us he would've earned almost £1.2m across the course of his 5yr contract. Apparently he spunked money left right and centre though, so expect to see him working in the Argos stockroom by Christmas.

He'd be useless in there TBF! £1.2 million though for being as good at football as I am. Lucky man.

Whitey Grandad Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Ali Dia played for Saints in a PL game and, allegedly, came close to scoring. Indeed he did, at the Dell against Leeds, I think. I was there
VectisSaint Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 What was Tommy's wage with us? I just wonder whether the lucky blighter need ever work again had he saved wisely... Saving was not his forte.
St_Tel49 Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Oh well, probably now a pub keeper then! Aren't they called Landlords
Saint Mikey Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 He'd be useless in there TBF! £1.2 million though for being as good at football as I am. Lucky man. How many pro-contracts have you signed? None, I'm guessing. Clearly Forecast was good enough at one stage for a number of coaches to believe he was worthy of not one, but two pro-contracts. So, he must have had some talent for his age. Seems like he threw his talent away, rather than working hard and developing it. Not unheard of in football. Is it his fault we decided to give him a 5 year contract?

It took a while but we got our revenge. We "sold" them Mo Po. #onlygoodenoughfor8thplace
ecuk268 Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Bit harsh on Craig Maskell Minty - he had a decent career and we signed him twice. Not in the same league as Forecast or Dia. Didn't he score in that snowy Monday night game against Liverpool? I think it was Alan Ball's first game in charge after the departure of Branfo*t.

I have you know I was captain of my high school 4th XI dontchaknow! (Which was made up of choirboys, people that had never played football before, overweight people, people that had no interest in football, a goalkeeper that had no gloves and an American annoyed that he couldn't use his hands. We lost 10-1 in our one and only match, although the coach of the opposition came up to me afterwards and said I was our best player. )
Lets B Avenue Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Didn't he score in that snowy Monday night game against Liverpool? I think it was Alan Ball's first game in charge after the departure of Branfo*t. First home game. We won away at Newcastle and lost at Oldham in his first two games.
once_bitterne Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 When we signed him he was rated as one of the best young prospects in the country and Spurs had put him on the bench for a few Premier League matches. I would assume his issue was more down to his attitude than ability.
VectisSaint Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Was he quick? Not Jonno Quick. Maybe he could work at KwikSave, another completely inappropriately named place of work for the guy.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Didn't he score in that snowy Monday night game against Liverpool? I think it was Alan Ball's first game in charge after the departure of Branfo*t. I was there, can't remember if it was against Liverpool or not. Headed goal into the top right of the goal archers rd end. Or at least that's how it looked from the Milton. Think Jim Magilton had his debut that night as well. I thought they would both go on to score loads for us...

MPT got 3. one of his was in the bottom corner, past brucie grobbelaar after 27 seconds????
Tokyo-Saint Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 MPT? Sound like someone took a bribe there Brett.
Kingsland Red Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 OK, here it is , my nightmare XI: Forecast Todd; Pearce; Bennett; Molyneux Dia; Kanchelski; Pulis; Ifill (Jordan) Robertson; Pericard
Golden Balls Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 As with every single thread about this total oxygen thief, I must make a comment about what a complete and utter bellend he is. Nice to know that he has finally fallen out of football with all his "earnings" going to 90 degrees! Tosser!
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Bit harsh on Craig Maskell Minty - he had a decent career and we signed him twice. Not in the same league as Forecast or Dia. He taught the FA level 1 course I was on. Nice bloke.

Golden Balls Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Not a fan then. Is the polite way to put it after I saw him hit a girl outside 90 degrees the night we got promoted from L1. Then seeing him off his face every weekend in town pretending he's a somebody. His attitude stinks and is the biggest reason he never made it.

So your saying he is a lazy git that should have put some effort in to become the keeper he was being paid to be.

bangkoksaint Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 On 13 August 2009 Forecast joined Grimsby Town on a one-month loan following an injury to Town's first-choice goalkeeper Nick Colgan.[5] Forecast made his full professional debut the following day for Grimsby against Crewe Alexandra in a 4–0 defeat, The Crewe Chronicle described Forecast's debut as "one of the most shockingly inept displays the Football League has ever seen".[6] Grimsby sent Forecast back early from his loan spell on 3 September after failing to impress in his four games with The Mariners
SaintsAhoy Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 He ranks alongside Jermaine Wright as one of our best acquisitions
krissyboy31 Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 He ranks alongside Jermaine Wright as one of our best acquisitions Harsh on Wright, at least he played. Molyneaux and Pulis on the other hand......
Fuengirola Saint Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Zoltan liptak was my favourite He still plays for Hungary
Noodles34 Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 I actually spoke to Tommy last week. I said 'if you can just drop me at the corner mate, that'll be fine.' Not sure if you have made a coincidental joke, but he is now working the taxis in London.
Saint_clark Posted 30 September, 2014 Posted 30 September, 2014 Ali Dia played for Saints in a PL game and, allegedly, came close to scoring. Hit the post, wasn't given a fair chance.
