He was released last summer I think, after his ridiculous 5 year contract.

He's now on loan at Dartford town from Chelmsford, even they can't find a space for him. He was never a proper full time pro to be honest, just a part time pub player who somehow happened to find himself at a resurgent club. Lucky is one word for it!

Dartford was last season, and only a month. He went back toChelmsford and was then released. Not showing up anywhere this season. Reality bites.

the most painful part of this was ...Spuds insistance that TF was a future England prospect and cost us a further chunk out of the measly Bale fee to get him and give him an overpaid 5 yr. contract.

They saw us coming and it must have been a standing joke in their Booardroom for ages, when they cut back our outstanding payment when we were short of cash in 2009. We were well and truly conned.

What was Tommy's wage with us? I just wonder whether the lucky blighter need ever work again had he saved wisely...

It was something approaching £5k a week I believe - apparently he didn't want to drop his wages from Spurs when he signed for us. It doesn't sound like much but for a player who never made a single senior appearance for us he would've earned almost £1.2m across the course of his 5yr contract.

Apparently he spunked money left right and centre though, so expect to see him working in the Argos stockroom by Christmas.

He'd be useless in there TBF!

£1.2 million though for being as good at football as I am. Lucky man.

How many pro-contracts have you signed? None, I'm guessing.

Clearly Forecast was good enough at one stage for a number of coaches to believe he was worthy of not one, but two pro-contracts. So, he must have had some talent for his age. Seems like he threw his talent away, rather than working hard and developing it. Not unheard of in football. Is it his fault we decided to give him a 5 year contract?

Bit harsh on Craig Maskell Minty - he had a decent career and we signed him twice. Not in the same league as Forecast or Dia.

Didn't he score in that snowy Monday night game against Liverpool? I think it was Alan Ball's first game in charge after the departure of Branfo*t.

I have you know I was captain of my high school 4th XI dontchaknow! (Which was made up of choirboys, people that had never played football before, overweight people, people that had no interest in football, a goalkeeper that had no gloves and an American annoyed that he couldn't use his hands. We lost 10-1 in our one and only match, although the coach of the opposition came up to me afterwards and said I was our best player. :smug:)

I was there, can't remember if it was against Liverpool or not. Headed goal into the top right of the goal archers rd end. Or at least that's how it looked from the Milton. Think Jim Magilton had his debut that night as well. I thought they would both go on to score loads for us...

So your saying he is a lazy git that should have put some effort in to become the keeper he was being paid to be.

Oh well, it took us a while to pay them back.

On 13 August 2009 Forecast joined Grimsby Town on a one-month loan following an injury to Town's first-choice goalkeeper Nick Colgan.[5] Forecast made his full professional debut the following day for Grimsby against Crewe Alexandra in a 4–0 defeat, The Crewe Chronicle described Forecast's debut as "one of the most shockingly inept displays the Football League has ever seen".[6] Grimsby sent Forecast back early from his loan spell on 3 September after failing to impress in his four games with The Mariners
