QPR fan's view on Saints - never underestimate the team with the long term plan.

Better than rather good. It was surprisingly insightful! This guy needs to spend more time worrying about his own team, and less time becoming so knowledgable about other teams! ;)

Very good article. He had a good way with words that kept you engaged and, through own research and thinking, produced a piece better than half the **** the daily mail or savage comes up with.

He openly stated his disdain for the Europa League and allowed the final few months of the season to drift by with five defeats and two draws from the final 13 games when Southampton could easily have qualified for it.

At whose expense would that have been at?

Cups or league, does it matter?.

At whose expense? Spurs. Not saying there was anything dodgy going on from our manager who had been hawking himself about since January, goes to the team that we would have been replaced in Europa League a competition he now loves.

....must say that I think we might have qualified ...had we had a decent no.2 goalie when Boruc was out injured or 10 games.

KD and PG let in 20 goals between them and we won only ONE league game.

Brilliant article. Was that really written by a QPR fan? If so, it's extraordinarily insightful from a fan from another club.

I would say he should become a journalist for one of the big papers, but he's too talented for that.

Surely it would have been in place of Hull not spurs?

Good call.

Our billionaire is better than their billionaire.

?? .....is their " billionaire " really a " billionaire"? ......or, just a very rich millionaire ? Anyone got a copy of the latest Forbes ????

Their majority owner appears only to be a rich millionaire:

Their 33% minority owner is one of the richest people in the world:

I didn't know Redslo posted on the QPR forum. ;)

I don’t, but I wouldn’t have minded writing nearly all of that article. I have posted on Portsmouth and Swansea forums though. I sort of decided not to stick my head onto London team forums. I assumed they would be a snake pit. Was I wrong?

LOL. Yet you posted on a Pompey forum!

Well, they started it.

Also, at one point more than 10 percent of the page views of my blog came straight from the Pompey boards. Even now it is more than 5 percent. My recent article about Portsmouth's transfer window attracted more interest than anything else I wrote this month except the first Martin Samuel thing and the majority of that interest was from them not us. If I were trying to monetize my blog, I would probably write about Portsmouth in a close to even-handed way once a week. It would infuriate them, but they would still come to read it.

They aren't reading it. They are pointing at the pretty light the magic screen makes.

I did laugh at this little exchange:

It is not clear to me what part of my article qualifies as total bullocks--unless it is my difficulty in locating your recent financial reports. I was informed as to how I can purchase them on line and have done so. Aside from that, what did I get wrong? Is your team not improved in this past transfer window? Are the fans themselves actually at fault for the financial mismanagement of prior ownership? Would Portsmouth fans not have liked their club to have been bought by Markus Liebherr rather than the various people who did buy your club? Other than being a Southampton fan, what did I get wrong?
