Spurs v Saints build up - Judas Part 2

Thinking back to the possible injury thing. The 3 players that are pretty crucial to our team are Forster, Schneiderlin and Pelle.

The player that we probably can't cover right now that would effect our style is Pelle.

Isn't Pelle the furthest to the left of all the players in this photo?

I think if Pelle got injured we would alter our formation and style of play - probably revert back to more of a 4-2-3-1 and focus on playing the ball in behind the defence to Tadic, Mane and Long. Barring Gallagher we haven't really got another forward who can hold the ball up like Pelle can, so I think we'd be a bit more counter-attacking and using our pacy wingers/striker to get at defences rather than playing through them.

Saints play that formation when Pelle plays, Koeman switches between a 4-2-3-1 and a 4-3-3 during games.

Fine. And people wonder why this place is dying.

We've always had snipers, and always will. Tends to be worse when we are losing.

Grateful for the information, people can choose to use the speculation if they want or rely on the club website for the facts.

I think we play more of a 4-3-3 when in possession, without the ball it seems to revert to almost a 4-4-1-1. But we are very fluid as a team so it's often quite difficult to tell exactly what formation we're playing!

I think it's 4-3-3 with the only question being how the midfield three set-up. The two players either side of Pelle play very high up the pitch and far higher than the highest central midfield player therefore it can't really be 4-2-3-1.

Am Buzzing for this game as I missed the one last season at WHL so am

looking forward to it tomorrow as I love London away games going by Train

and taking the atmosphere in and am feeling confident that we'l come away

with a 2-1 win which would be Great but will see what happens I guess as

it'd be nice to keep the pressure on Chelsea & City & will be Good to give

Poch some stick as well!

COYR! :D

Your "mate" hasn't texted back though has he? Something which takes seconds. It's so easy to make these stories up just to attract attention. Why try and undermine everyone's expectations - is that the action of a true Saints fan?

Interesting .....that the media (BBC and Sky) have almost totally ignored this fixture on their home pages, (as though it wasn't being played.)

Not a word about the game, (the only exception was Robbie Savage's BBC article on Friday (about Pochettino's new life)

Are they afraid that Spuds might actually lose ...or that we might even win ...against one of the (" big clubs ) that are supposedly dominating the Premier League.?

Woooa mate, I know "Pancake's" news is not good news and I for one, hope it is not genuine, but if he is posting it here in good faith then there is no need to accuse him of not being a true Saints fan. Why do people always insist on shooting the messenger if the news they carry is not to their liking? It's up to you whether you believe it or not, no one is forcing you.

I have a theory which is quite ridiculous. I believe Schneiderlin will not play. We shall see

More a 50/50 guess than a theory I suspect but you'll either be right or wrong ;)

Getting tense about this one...wanted to win against the Judai almost too much last week but this would be beautiful karma to get three points from.

No Forster. We have no other Prem quality keeper.

You predicted 1-4 yesterday! For the Saints FC official scout, that's worrying!

We have to adapt our forecasts, Coxford Lou, dependant on changes of circumstance. I.e. I just heard a little whisper that Jose Fonte's lucky underpants set off the bio-hazard alarms at Victoria Station and have been sent to the Special Pathogens Unit at UCH for testing.

Spurs 2 - 1 Saints
