farawaysaint Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Disgusting, bored kids who think they're clever. I know graffiti can be art but the vast majority is just ugly vandalism and you can add disrespectful on top of it all to this one.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 I hope most of the sensible Pompey fans will appreciate that these idiots do not represent the rest of us.
5string Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Any chance someone could go out there and clean it up?
Patrick Bateman Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 (edited) It's shameful. No excuse, but probably a silly little teenager trying to be "cool". The further away we get from the world wars, the less respect and more dishonest people seem to become. It's sad. Edited 27 September, 2014 by Patrick Bateman
Joneth Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 That's appalling, hope they catch up with the little scrote that did that and make clean it up and then do a lap of dishonour around Fratton Park.
Colinjb Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Disgusting and shameful, hope the little scumbags are caught.
sfc4prem Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Underhand, disrespectful, completely pointless and juvenile. Whoever is responsible needs a good slap round the chops and to be put in the stocks outside Fratton Park.
Whitey Grandad Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Disgusting, shameful, depressing. Sometimes I despair for the future of our country.
View From The Top Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 I hope the scrote is forced to clean it up in public. Utter, utter c**t.
Toadhall Saint Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 So disrespectful - I don't care what people's feelings are towards that lot down the road - there are lines you don't cross and that is right up there. The people responsible should be shackled and paraded through both cities.
Fan The Flames Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 If they knew what they were writting on then it is an act of hate. I have thought for a long time that some peoples attitude to Pompey is verging on the extreme that is way beyond local sporting rivalry.
doddisalegend Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Disrespectful ****s. There are lines that shouldn't be crossed.
old_southy Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 I hope they get caught. Football should be for the enjoyment of everyone and should be completely separate from the horrific butchery of the awful wars. If there was a fund to help getting it cleaned up, I'd gladly donate. Should never be allowed near St Marys's again if they think this is what football is about.
Toomer Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 No place for this sort of thing in society but you are always going to get idiots.
Jimmy_D Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 That just isn't on. I hope they catch the lowlife that did it.
Saxon Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Any chance someone could go out there and clean it up? Even better, someone in a saints shirt!
dickyhale Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Embarrassing,disgusting and mindless...........
cobbysouth Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 The fans that let this club down, I dont wanna be affiliated with scum like this.
simo Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Skates trying to make saints look bad , no respectable human would do that hatred or not !?
Paul75 Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Disgusting Mindless and down right disrespectful, Whoever did this does not represent me as a saints fan or someone who was born and bred here, Banter is one thing, violence is another, but the total lack of respect shown to a memorial is as low as they come, I hope you are caught and shown up to be the mindless little *****(s) you are
Crazy Diamond Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Hope outsiders are looking at this thread - and indeed the person who did it. Utterly shameful in so many ways.
Bearsy Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 That just isn't on. I hope they catch the lowlife that did it. Ain't it that he's wrote his name?
OldNick Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 how about us on here getting the money together to pay for it to be cleaned up?
Red and White Army Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 how about us on here getting the money together to pay for it to be cleaned up? If someone wants to organise I will be happy to pay. Looking at the pictures in the Echo it wouldn't be much. A couple of hundred quid would probably do it.
supergoose Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Shameful behaviour, whoever did this is a complete idiot.
Norm Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 I hope those responsible are caught and spend 3 months in Winchester.
martel Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 I hope the scrote is forced to clean it up in public. Utter, utter c**t. Good suggestion, or 3 months in Colchester military prison, that would make them wish they had never done it, pathetic little morons.
trousers Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 how about us on here getting the money together to pay for it to be cleaned up? Count me in
OldNick Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 I assume a mod would have to organise the collection as they would have contacts. I'm in for £50
Whitey Grandad Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Me too. Contribute to clean up or something for a local charity.
the colonel Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Shame on all asociated with this mindless vandalism.
alehouseboys Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Despicable act. Something sounds a bit fishy about this. Let's hope they nab the culprit so it clears this up, hopefully some good CCTV knocking around.
Leicestersaint Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Shameful - I would contribute if someone is organising a collection.
SarniaSaint Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Agree this is the behavior of pond scum (no pun intended). remember when glasgow rangers lot did something similar here a long time ago.
Sergei Gotsmanov Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Can we set up a paypal that we can all chip in to clear up? This really does compromise all of our values as Saints fans.
hypochondriac Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 (edited) Can we set up a paypal that we can all chip in to clear up? This really does compromise all of our values as Saints fans. I don't think it does really. I suspect it has already been cleared off. Anyone stupid enough to do something like that is clearly not a proper saints fan and is almost certainly just a bit thick and knows nothing about what the memorial represented. If you donate something, what are you actually going to put it towards? Edited 27 September, 2014 by hypochondriac
St Chalet Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 I've mailed the owner of Pompey Online (who is pretty well connected to the club) with the offers expressed here.
Badger Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 Appalling and disgraceful act that is beyond the limits of football rivalry, an act of a complete moron.
Badger Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 That has nothing to do with football. Not that some Pompey fans won't revel in it of course. Every club has plenty of dicks supporting it. Despicable act. Something sounds a bit fishy about this. Let's hope they nab the culprit so it clears this up, hopefully some good CCTV knocking around. Its not really an issue to argue over as its appalling no matter who the offenders were, but you have to wonder though don't you ?
hypochondriac Posted 27 September, 2014 Posted 27 September, 2014 I very much doubt the culprit was looking to deface a war memorial. Clearly an ignorant thicky who saw a Portsmouth badge and thought they would deface it.
